Yup actually having back up to the words I post requires practice. You need to have some HG.

I backed up my statement fully.

Bat Eye yelling wrong again is irrelevant.

M. Gaudet,

In a way, that's true. But (as an example) even Nixon was for nationalized health insurance ! He was astute enough to see it was the right thing to do.

robert johnston says: "The bad 1Q12 news won't stop! It's going to be a tough summer for BO."

Let's face it -- it's been a bad YEAR-ROUND summer for this country since the election of Reagan in 1980, who commenced to do everything within his power to help ruin our country's manufacturing base, with the aid of corporate CEOs and the transfer of labor to third-world countries.

I've said it to family and friends for a long time now -- I wish I would have been born in 1900, been a witness to all of the amazing changes and cultural landmark events of the 20th century, and passed away the day after Reagan was elected in November, 1980.

M. Gaudet says:
Actually i think it was those in the Democrat party support of Reagan that led to him being elected, that and Carter being primaried with Kennedy.

That is the mistake dems learned this time they got rid of the blue dogs who sided with Reagan, and were smart enough not to primary Obama with Hillery. I mean the blue dogs that were left of course most of them became Republican and switched parties before this point.

Reagan was a handsome chap. But he could not act to save his life.

In comparison to Jimmy Cagney and Sinatra for instance.

In reply to the original post, it looks like Obama is edging Carter out as the worst President in history.

all these rankings are BS, though.

as the years pass, Reagan will recede in public polls, since his speeches would be consumed on youtube, not live.. He's not Lincoln. The best supporters can do is name something after him everywhere.

Good movie.

Reagan was a reliable B-actor. I suppose the modern equivalent would be the Gropinator becoming President. In the 90s, if you told me he'd become my state's governor...yeah.

Carter is widely regarded as a bad president. Of course, Carter had to run against a charismatic challenger in 1980, not a Mitt Romney

Obama is more Clintonesque.

"Housing prices down ..."

A good time to buy.

"Construction spending down"

Congress has to stop blocking Obama's construction bill.

"Manufacturing down"

Better than the end of Bush's reign when the car industry was going bankrupt. .

"Retail down "

From when? Christmas. Is that surprising to the right wing?

Eurozone unemployment has hit a new record. Spain and England are in another recession.
So, we are not alone. However, Obama has done a pretty good job of stabilizing the economy and putting it on the path to recovery. Unemployment is down from 10% to 8.1%, and we are not facing another recession.

Obama is doing fine and will serve a 2nd term.

The United States of America is on its knees in ways that it has not been in generations, thanks to Democrats. Obama is a fool, and these supporters are his roaches.

I wasn't alive for a worse prez. It is hard to imagine that a worse prez could be hatched in my lifetime. Carter has got to be happy.

I love how Doc Browne acts when he asks marty mcfly who was President in 1980. He thinks Mcfly was lying, Ronald Reagan the actor, lol. In the movie Back to the Future.

Obviously the directors disdain for the President but still funny.
