To show our solidarity as Americans, let's all join together and show each other our support for the candidate of our choice. It's time Democrats, Independents, and Republicans come together as one nation.

So, in that spirit ... if you support the policies and character of the Republican party, please drive with your headlights on during the day. If you support Obama, please drive with your headlights off at night.

I think they're already doing that, robert johnston. They're trying to keep Obama's dismal record in the dark where it belongs.

The Republicans will try all their 'dirty tricks' to eliminate the Democratic opposition. Nice try, robert!!!

I think Obama will eliminate the Democrats without any help from us, Katrina.

<Mark Time says: Look, bobby tried to make a funny.>

Just been watching the driving habits of cars with BO-2012 stickers haphazardly slapped to the cars paint job. The practice says it all.

Obama may eliminate more than just Democrats. His challenge is to keep all the party animals fat, dumb and happy until the damage has become unrecoverable.
Nice doggie! Have another gluten-n-liver treat!

You may be on to something there, OldAmazonian.

Pink slime all around! Let the good times roll -- until we're over the cliff, that is.

Don't be a snob, Robert. Them folks' cars need them stickers. Parts might fall off in the roadway without 'em.

Why would you depict bob as a snob?

The first couple I saw ... I would agree with you. The stickers were indeed integral to the car's structural integrity. Then I saw I nice new black BMW 5 series ... the BO 2012 sticker was on the high dollar black painted bumper. Hilarious! ... not a lick of sense among any of 'um.

You are aware that bumpers these days are most often made of *plastic* with approximately the same color as the body? It's too light weight to withstand more than 5mph max in a crash. Tricycles are studier. Toyotas are made to deform and can spring back like on Saturns. In fact if the "dent" is on corner edge it is easy enough to pop it back out with the right tool. My CEO did that with a Camry on my rear license plate.

Your kidding ... right ... you can rationalize a BO bumper sticker on a painted plastic bumper as you'll have to repaint it anyway?

Intrepid says:
The bumpers I am referring to are *not surface painted*. The pigment is within the colored plastic. Many are now made of polyethylene or polypropylene. So if there is adhesive left on the plastic it comes off fairly easily without marring with isopropyl alcohol. OTOH Acetone would partially dissolve and cloud the plastic finish so should not be used.

That said, no I don't like anything stuck on my cars bumpers and agree all bumper stickers look rather tacky.
