Sarkozy proves that you cozy up with Obama, you sleeps with the fishes. Like the Dems in 2010 he goes down.

Worldwide anti-incumbent backlash gets another one.

Obama's a socialist who pretends to be a moderate. Maybe Hollande is a moderate who pretends to be a socialist. Wouldn't that be ironic.

France votes in a Socialist president and kicks out the conservative Sarkozy!

The French rejects harsh austerity and is open to a pro-growth economic policy(ala Obama) under the new Presidency!

Furthermore, the new president vows to pull out all troops from afghanistan this year and raising taxes on the very rich!

Does all this sound familiar?

Hooray!

Can you say it?

4 MORE YEARS!!!!

:)

Like Obama, Sarkozy just isn't a likeable person. His politics had little to do with it. He saw himself as a political superstar and paid the price. Sound familiar?

Captain: Or it could mean that the French don't like conservative Presidents.

Healthpro: Great Post. Very thoughtful.

Except that Obama is a likeable guy.

His detractors are close to scum of the earth, but Obama himself is really a very likeable guy. A bit touchy, perhaps a bit arrogant, but one who really
wants to make a difference in America, a country in which a difference really needs to happen.

Consorting with Obizzle leaves such a bad taint that voters in France actually elected a Socialist!

Well, the French aren't known for being hard workers, so I'm sure they'll enjoy Socialism's nanny qualities while they descend into Third-World status.

They are not known for being good military people either, but they do know how to live life. Things may have to change somewhat, but
why should the French be American-like when they have Paris and we don't.

DEEZUS says:
They're actually very good military people. It's just that WWII came quite soon after a very devastating WWI.

This is true, but then the Brits have laughed at the Frenchies' military prowess for at least three centuries, and the Brits can't be wrong.

We wouldn't be an independent nation without them.

I miss W says:
Because they only have Paris because we're American-like (i.e., hard working, victorious in combat, and attractive to women due to our bathing regularly). Otherwise they'd still be singing the Horst Wessel song.

Of course, that's part of his master plan to create a new world order ruled by socialists. Really quite brilliant to make it look like he's at fault while secretly gaining control. Haven't you been paying attention?

What's worse?
They voted in a guy who stands for everything they voted AGAINST!
Sounds familiar.......

Comrade, why the weak backsliding spin?

You finally found your voice, instead of distorting op-eds from fringe web sites you had proudly announced the victory of a socialist, indeed so pleased were you by the triumph of a socialist over the free market Sarkozy that you trumpeted it as an example for us to emulate.

Get vertigo? Did the prospect of the revolution you celebrated just days ago overwhelm you? Shake off the cocoon, Capt, fly...fly...into the glorious post austerity world!

Captain...Be careful what you wish for!!!Hollande has the power to cause a lot of problems for Europe and their banking system and the Euro. His ideas will affect our banks and wall street. Money magazine wrote the article saying the problems starting in 2008 would be a cake walk compared to this. The article was VERY UNSETTLING!!!!

Sarkozy never was cozy with any US president - Bush or Obama. In fact not even with his wife who he traded in for Carla Bruni.
I leave to you to check Google, Carla Bruni, the Pope, and posing (NSFW).
