And I think that the conservatives are almost completely un-christian.

I've often thought it would be a breath of fresh air if we had no political parties, just independent politicians. That way they wouldn't have to tow their party line and/or be beholden to the PTB for everything. It would help with that, though it still wouldn't stop lobbyists and corporatists from circling them like vultures.

i would go one step further. the ballot contains the name of the office with a blank space after it and nothing else. the voter must write in (or otherwise communicate if they cannot write) the name of the candidate themselves. You are allowed to bring any literature you want to the polls to help you remember but there will be no check boxes.

Interesting idea, but I'm not sure how many would bother to do enough research for that and you can already do write-in votes as it is.

exactly the point. you dont do the research, you dont get a vote.

They brought a far more advanced civilization, which depends upon laws and actual borders. They vastly improved the land and greatly advanced civilization.

minus the genocide of the Indians, and the slavery of the Blacks. But that's OK; most people don't know about that

When I vote, i show a voter registration card, and my driver's license, and someone checks my name off a list they have. IDK, is this a Florida thing?

My worst worry is that the rich folks stay in power.

Why waste your worry on something that has 100% chance of happening?

When I used to vote at my local polling place, everyone knew me. Now I vote absentee. Bush's justice department put huge amounts of energy into trying to find voter fraud with almost no success. As far as I know, in my area, there has never been a voter fraud prosecution. Most people who commit voter fraud are former felons who did not realize they could not vote in their state after they served their time. Others, are well-known public personalities who have given a business address to protect their privacy. Illegals won't vote because they don't want to raise any suspicion about their presence here.
