what was zimmerman high on when he murdered Trayvon and then beat his own head?

we'll never know because the cops chose not to collect the evidence

"Bath salts" aren't what we put in a bath. They are designer drugs with who knows what chemicals added to cause a high. Street names are pretty, like Bliss and Purple Haze.

They are labeled as bath salts and marked "not for human consumption," they are said to be extremely dangerous like Salvia (meadow sage - which is what Loughner was said to have used before he shot Gabby Giffords). The "naturals" like peyote and Salvia and the new designer chems are often sold in "smoke shops." Many states are now banning their sale.

It's crazy that weed's illegal but salvia isn't.

Yeah - our rules are strange - but in the Southwest, Salvia can be picked in lots of areas kind of like tumbleweed or prickly pear, it doesn't have to be cultivated.

Wow! Craziness. I tried salvia, but didn't like it. And IMO it's way more altering than weed.

I've heard Salvia can cause horrific hallucination and extreme psychosis - the only drugs I've ever used are Xanax (to get on a plane) and HRT. Those are bad enough.

What is HRT?

I find Xanax more altering than weed, too. Xanax is pretty awesome, but too addicting to use more than once in awhile, at least for me. Just having one a day for a month made me feel super crappy, after I stopped taking it.

thanks for the drug culture update. i just glanced at the article and went to the comment sections. a lot of people take the walking dead show quite seriously and think this is the start of the zombie apocalypse. they had salvia in costa rica, people were taking. i wasn't there when they were doing it though, so i did to get to see the reactions from taking such things.

i felt that way about OxyContin, when i had a 'script for nerve damage a few years ago.

it made me feel like crap, and didn't address the pain. to this day it astounds me that people take the stuff for fun.

In reply to an earlier post on May 29, 2012 5:20:29 PM PDT
That stinks; were you able to get something that helped?

Rev. Otter says:
i did, thanks!

believe it or not, ibuprofin (Advil) gave me the most relief, with the occasional muscle relaxer for really bad days.

then surgery which [*knocks on wood*] fixed the problem. :)

I'm happy to hear that!!

About time the zombies came, I've been getting ready for years.

or maybe the black guy was hallucinating and thought he was Obama, and then thought the other guy was a dog, and he was having lunch.

i warn then about cutting off the guy's food stamps

The zombie was walking home from the Urban Beach Weekend when he decided to eat the homeless guy's face.
Yet another reason to put an end to it.
Last year Miami Beach police shot a partier 115 times.

HRT - hormone replacement therapy - something you want to avoid in the future - xanax is for flying (in a plane) and I do that several times a year, other than those times, I avoid it. I've always avoided drugs for medical and recreational use.

I hope to be like my father at 85, he takes an aspirin a day and that's it. He's very healthy and active (and married to a woman 3 years younger than I am).

The Apache and other tribes who can legally use a lot of the "naturals" keep telling us these things are not for white people, and apparently they are right. We seem to have strange reactions.

I've never done drugs, smoked tobacco or drank alcohol, nor ever had the desire to do so. So this may be silly, but it seems to me that the question we should be asking is: why are there those, particularly the young, who feel compelled to do this to the extreme? Who do it on a "regular" binge basis. What are they trying to accomplish or escape?

at least the Indians attached some spiritual aspect to it. Although I don't know how it is today.

LSD use can be far more important than simply recreational. People were naturally experiencing LSD because it is a derivative of ergot, a fungus that affects rye grain.

the human body offers a lot of different experiences from altering its chemical balance.

The thing I find most amazing is that people have no idea where most street drugs come from or even what is really in them. They can either make you feel really high or maybe they will fry your brain or just outright kill you, who knows? Yet they still take the stuff anyway.

Bath salts?
You mean like Epsom Salt?
There is probably a hundred other things in your house that will get you high....right before it kills you.
How can you protect people from their own stupidity?
