A good degree doesn't mean lots of money if half the people looking for a job have the same degree. Economics, how does it work?

I should have been clearer. I was referring to K-12 education. I have a feeling that you knew that but just had to be antagonistic.

Competition means offering consumers what they want. If a person wants a degree or diploma and not an education, schools will appear offering that product----they are already popping up everywhere offering online college degrees.
