Don,
Unfortunately that is a lot closer to the truth than I would like to believe. The liberal wing of the court seems all to liable to interpret the constitution in a way that would allow our internal laws to be overridded by international laws put in place by nations hostile to our form of government. Face it a tyranny doesn't want peashooters in the hands of civilians.

Don Mcdougall says: "If you listen to Ginsberg and others liberal members of the SCOTUS international law DOES over ride the constitution. Obama has said that we need to be a nation that respects ALL international laws and treaties."

I don't think they said it overrides the Constitution. They said international law and trends in other nations should be considered. We only need to respect those we actually ratify.

M.Daniel. I hope you are right, but am afraid that you are not.

It is not my opinion but well established constitutional law. And again, the treaty does not ban any guns but regulates the international arms trade.

You are correct. But you can repeat this one million times and it will not sink in, it will not be accepted and the same incorrect statements will continue to be bandied around as fact.

Isn't that some sort of rule here?
