reply to DEEZUS's post:

by itself it wont
until poll workers know how to spot fake ids

voters should sign a sheet every time they vote
you would have to be a good forger to get by that test
they used that in ny when we were there

"and many situations where fraud would have been easy to do when i was not there to see it"

therefore you know lots of people voted fraudulently because you weren't there

do you wear a rubber hat because you know you might be struck by lightning

"Now who would deny voter fraud happens, those who are doing it or those who aren't?"

how will voter ID laws counter that?

reply to G. Ragain's post:

good point
and if she is getting ss then that card should be good enough for most states id requirements

reply to Reed N.D. Dark's post:

you know you can buy fake id almosat anywhere

so buy a fake id with the real info to make it a real id for that person but that is self made not govt issued

"It's not true."

Prove it.

"And you are overlooking (still) the considerable evidence of voter fraud"

Show the evidence.

Why do you hate the truth?

I KNOW why you don't want all those poor people to vote - just say so.

DCSports says:
It's not true.

And you are overlooking (still) the considerable evidence of voter fraud, as well as the fact that convictions for many types of fraud aren't possible without an ID.

Why do you hate black people, white people, old people, latinos, and all other legitimate voters. Why do you want to have their votes diluted by fraudulant voting?

Posted on May 7, 2012 4:08:34 PM PDT
lowbo says:
According to the Republican's own Republican National Lawyers Association and the FEC, there have been only 311 convictions in vote fraud cases out of 593 million votes cast. This results in a vote fraud rate of .00005%.

Cons, why don't you just come out and say you don't want black people, old people, Latinos, women or students to vote? Why don't you have ALEC lobbyists just write legislation making it illegal for all the above mentioned sub-human populations to cast a ballot?

I know. It's not devious enough.

It was my post in which I stated that BM had posted more evidence for his own dissemblance than that for voter fraud. I think my use of "fraud" may have been viewed as in-artful by the Amazon sniffers.

Happy Monday, everyone ;-)

It's true there are now 57 states.

During Bush/Cheney we added:
51 - The State of Panic
52 - The State of Terror
53 - The State of Paranoia
54 - The State of Greed

Since Obama was elected we have added three more states:
55 - The State of Reason
56 - The State of Compassion
57 - The State of Competency

In reply to an earlier post on May 7, 2012 4:14:20 AM PDT
When did we get 57 states? Last time I looked there were 50. I wouldn't mind a voter ID. If people here weren't so resistant to change we'd see more things like affordable health care, immigration reform, wind and solar power and underground power lines.

In reply to an earlier post on May 7, 2012 1:29:12 AM PDT
voter id will be required in all 57 states for all federal elections soon. deal with it.

I just LOVE the "why we fight" in this topic title. Because Libs don't fight. At least not for America. And when they're given control over our troops, they lose:

>>Taliban stronger than before U.S. troop surge: lawmakers

The Taliban is stronger now than before President Barack Obama ordered a surge of troops to Afghanistan, two senior U.S. lawmakers said on Sunday, contradicting the administration's assessment of the insurgency.

"I think we both say that what we found is the Taliban is stronger," Senate Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein told "Fox News Sunday" in an interview that included House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers, who agreed with her statement. The two lawmakers returned last week from a trip to Afghanistan.<<

What does the 4 year old in the airport do to deserve having to take off his Spiderman Crocks and be groped?

One 4 year old child in 7 billion COULD be a terrorist, so we need to be protected from that infinitesimal possibility.

Although irrational fear is the public GOP frame behind the ALEC-funded voter fraud scam, the real story is they know they don't have a chance if women, people of color, and students come out en masse to vote in November.
