What's your point? It was reversed this afternoon....
No one made anything up, as you seem to want to claim.

One had better check the laws of the state where they intend to make a citizen's arrest. In some states, the detainee can be taken to a police station - in other states, transporting the detainee anywhere can be considered kidnapping.

Maybe everyone should just let the law take care of the situation, and eventually they will.

tango and twostep

i had no plans to arrest anyone

certainly do hope everyone sits back to let the fbi do their investigation
and justice system do its process properly

the local cops saw no murder

no amount of congressfeminzis blathering about it demanding justice will change the actual facts and EVIDENCE that allow for a da to prosecute

Didn't think you planned to arrest anyone, did you not ask "what if the victim decides to arrest the other folks on the charge of kidnapping, whose claim wins out?"

My answer was that it depends on the state whether it would be considered kidnapping or not.

<<No one made anything up, as you seem to want to claim.>>

allow me to remind you of the comment right in this thread which started this tangent.

here's the claim, which i called "spin":

"Here in CA the local school district just anounced the END of all english only classes. ALL classes are now in spanish or jointly english and spanish. English only courses are seen as racist."

notice first how it's presented as a done-deal -- the END. note next how broadly it's written, implying that it covers ALL classes (note the emphasis in the original) in all schools, with the "seen as racist" zinger tossed into the end.

now here's reality, which i called "reality", as shown in the link that BOTH OF US posted:

"The district had been considering phasing them out if it merged Dual Immersion language programs at Paul Ecke and Capri. That merge could have meant that Capri would become dedicated entirely to the Dual Immersion program, and kids in the English-only program would have to enroll at another school."

so it wasn't all schools, just one specific school that shares a program with another specific school. it's not all classes, just Dual Immersion program classes. and English-only isn't ending, but was to be consolidated at one of the schools. and note how *conjectural* all of it was anyway; there was no decision, no "reversal" (your own claim). it was a proposal; it didn't happen.

so i stand by my statement that the spin has no resemblance to reality.

i hope that helps. :)

I didn't need your help...I gave the same link as you did...
I have no idea what local district in CA was in question...I wouldn't be surprised if that was happening, though...
So, in the future, if you feel the need to "assist", just pass your wisdom along to someone else....
Thanks in advance:)

i think you're still missing it, but i'm tired of typing.

Mandatory bilingual education is definitely an issue that is going to cause problems....sooner than later...
but yes, we certainly can drop it...

<<Mandatory>>

um ... where did that come from?

or are you changing the subject from the actual story to some conjectural future event?
