Understood. I'll chuck it off as "bad humor" when you say mean obtuse things from now on. :)

The guy was wanted in another state. So is rumored. He wasn't actively engaged in a crime and our police happened to discover he was wanted. No, if that happened I would feel different.

Yes our police can be used for better things and no I don't see them as a priority. It is possible last Friday was just a rare chance happening.

Not supporting your child(ren) is absolutely "actively engaged in a crime".

And it is absolutely what our law enforcement personnel should consider a priority.

So, what is your issue? Again, maybe you need to look inward at the hate within you.

Just admit that you care not in the least what anyone says. I stated dozens of times that those who scam the system are rare but not nonexistent. Inevitably, you always reply with some rebuttal about how these are rare. Hmmmm..... I see a trend. Refuting my post with your post that says virtually the same thing.

Congressman Joe Walsh in an incumbant and he gets away with not paying child support because a judge hasn't ordered jailtime. This judge enabled him to run for office and get elected before anyone caught up with him. Now he's in a position where he should not under any other circumstances become a legislator.

Judges must hold dead beat dads accountable. It is a crime. It always has been. The threat of rotting in a jail cell should detour dead beat dads and moms too for that matter from refusing to be assuming their responsibilities. Obviously he circumvented the legal system by fleeing to another state.

He's been made an example of to send a message to those who think they can get away with it. The enabling has to stop. It's costing the tax payers far too much to ignore. When others like him start realizing the consequences are serious then it will stop happening so much. In effect, you should be praising the judge. There is only one person that deserves to be vilified. It certainly is not the judge who deserves it.

Yes I must "look inward" at the hate within because - unlike you - I DO NOT believe in imprisoning other humans simply for the "crime" of not assisting their fellow man when some other thug deems so.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 26, 2012 8:43:21 PM PST
What in the world are you referring to? This makes no sense. I cannot get beyond the words "imprison" and 'thug".

Workicrat says:
Of course it makes no sense to a "head in the sand" person such as you.

You are clueless as to the negative results of your precious government "charity" laws.

What should be done - if not imprisonment - to the "conscientious objector" who withholds that part of their taxes which are spent on such programs ?

Kathleen, You of all people around here do not deserve to be slandered just because someone has turned into a right winging nut case who enjoys foaming at the mouth. The fact that there are more independents than democrats and republicans is because one party has completely gone off the rails without an end in sight and the other has no spine to speak of.

Last time I voted for a republican was McDonnell for Governor of VA and he seemed like a good choice only to make me look like a fool for giving him the benefit of a doubt. The man actually legislated that raping women was okay to do. What was he thinking exactly? That women of all ages deserve to be raped if they seek a legal abortion? I could just ring his neck. Until the republican party get a hold of themselves I will not vote for another republican.

Again, I do not condone it but I can see why some of these stereotypical women do what they do. They should be more responsible and so on but they have the need for self-confidence (Skriker and K. Pelley have stated this before and i am just borrowing). They do not want the world to really know how destitute they are or just poor their decisions are. Hence, they purchase items that they should not be affording. Again, this does not give a free pass. It is just an insight.

crat,
I cannot believe what you are saying.

Yes, I used to vote for Republicans--last one was Gerald Ford. You are right--the party has gone off the deep end.

Timothy,
Yes, many women on Food Stamps and welfare are so embarrassed at their dependence and what they deem to be complete failure in life that they do try to cover it up by dressing what they deem nicely. Tattoos and having your nails done is not necessarily a middle class value, but in their world, apparently, these have prestige.
