"Personal insults aside, you also insulted the youth of our nation who have enough common sense to abstain"

You are either too old to even remember what sex is like or you are one of those rare individuals that finds it totally disgusting and never enjoyed it to begin with. The sex drive is the most powerful drive of all and comes hardwired into our systems. To expect young people to just ignore it is a joke.

I don't know, but since we do we should probably teach them how to use Birth Control.

Yeah, there's a winning proposition for Republicans tell 26 million young Americans (and their parents) you are going to take away their insurance.

You would still have the same staffing issue. I guess you would still have a window of time when you could provide internet services with pharmaceutical abortions, but it would be more cost effective to do that without an instate clinic as you would need to have out doctors located out of state anyway.

And, of course, back alley abortion clinics should spring up. But you don't really need a licensed physician for those.

The only reason that society SEEMS sex crazed is because the puritans and Victorians attempts to pretend sex didn't exist or is inherently sinful. As most societies for just about the entire history of the human species haven't had a problem with open sexuality.

The rhythm has been extremely unsuccessful in its intended purpose. It didn't exist until the rcc invented it.

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 29, 2012 10:15:43 AM PDT
C. Batty says:
That's mostly because puritans have no rythm.

My wife couldn't take the pill and I couldn't take using condoms, so for 20 years I had to "abort the mission" if you know what I mean. Let me tell you, that takes some self control. Now it's set to full auto, fire at will. What a difference.

Katrina,
We certainly have opposing views on human sexuality. I think the American culture today is responsible for this over-sex crazed youth, confused on the message as to what love is really all about. With neither mother or father at home, these kids grow up like weeds in the hands of a very liberal school system, more graced in how to dress a banana with a condom that the 3Rs.

You write: "Puberty overwhelms adolescents."

No. Hollywood has overwhelmed adolescents. Throw the TV out the window and see what happens. The pop-culture music industry is equally filthy, degrading women to the level of livestock. Most nations do not ascribe to our loose culture, and most other nations do not have any Television.

Batty,
Birth control and abortions do not stop an AIDS pandemic. Abstinence will.

Batty,
You stated: "there's a winning proposition for Republicans [to] tell 26 million young Americans (and their parents) you are going to take away their insurance."

OK. What if:
1)The 26 states that brought the law suit against Obamacare to the Supreme Court opt out of providing the expanded State Medicaid? They can do this, according to the Court's ruling.

2) the 26 rebel States next open up interstate commerce between themselves allowing their citizens to shop across all 26 state borders for an affordable policy of choice tailored to their personal needs? Costs will plummet. [My health insurance I get through my bank, which shops across all state lines, is 1/10th the cost of California sanction insurance plans.]

3) What if industry seeks the advantage of relocating in these 26 states with low insurance rates for their employees?

4) What if thousands of people migrate to these 26 states until the tax base is so depleted in the Socialist La-La-Land states that they, too, are forced to reform, ending all interstate commerce restrictions upon their citizens?

5) What if instead of Obamacare spawning the Public Option, Obamacare self destructs, freeing the health insurance industry to truly answer to the demands of the public?

Honestly, I think the Free Market is the answer to our problems of cost control and affordability for rich and poor alike, not more government regulation and I'll bet Justice Roberts knows just what he is doing.

Batty,
Why is our youth depending upon abortions as a method of birth control?

Batty,
No, I don't think so, after the finds of fossilized eggs out in the Bad Lands and the Gobi Desert.
Some paleontologists have speculated disease wiped them out. Others suspect disease as the vector of mutations.

Historically, this is very unrealistic. Consider the past 100,000 years in human civilization and life before penicillin.
In fact, we should be considering life after penicillin when antibiotics become obsolete, just as AZT and other retro-viral drugs.
It is happening right now, ya know.

Yes, I agree.

I think sex is normal, pleasurable, and nessessary for the survival of the species. The drawback is; unwanted pregnancies and STDs, both easily preventable.

Your position is; sex causes pregnancies and you'll get STDs, so, don't have sex, ABSTAIN!

My position is; have sex, but use precaution so you don't get an STD, and don't get pregnant until you're ready for the 18 year commitment.

Yeah, and do you know what will stop the obesity epidemic?
If everyone stops eating.

Dragonwolf says:
Condoms are far more likely to work than abstinence, abstinence only education doesn't work.
Pretty much every study done on the matter shows that at most abstinence delays things a few years, but then when they do start having sex they have no knowledge of condoms or birth control.

No. Anyone who stops eating will die.
