Why all the Obama hatred?

The Weasel says:
Seriously, on the right-left axis this guy is right about where Reagan/Bush I were.

His foreign policy accomplishments as far as the war on terrorism have been exemplary when compared to Bush II and Clinton

He hasn't done any stupid stunts like flying onto a carrier to annouce "Mission Accomplished"

He has deported more illegal aliens than Bush II and has specifically concentrated on the ones that count (criminals)

Is it really all about healthcare? That doens't ring true to me. Remember all the Tea Party "No Govt Hands in my Medicare" signs? The older right wind voters who seem the most opposed to Obama love their own entitlements Medicare and Social Security. So I just don't see why Medicare Light for all US citizens is such a big deal.

The economy hasn't been great but we've had job growth every single month once the initial job loss rush from the initial collapse occured

There haven't been any actual tax increases yet (have there been minor ones that I've missed?). Even the Bush "temporary" cuts are still in place

Troop levels are down in the middle east and the Libyan War was fought without ground troop involvement. Iran is a threat, but not requiring immediate action just yet (plus we all know we'll just give the Israeli's the green light when the time comes) -- Syria has no oil, so there's no real reason to put troops on the ground there - we could supply air support if there's a national will to do so I suppose

The stock market is about 50% higher than on Bush II's last day, so US companies and our 1%ers are doing even better now then back then

So, really - why all the hatred?

See- that I can relate to. Being an ethnic minority I've witnessed it firsthand. It's one of those mob mentality things as I have never gotten to know anyone who carried the prejudice forward after that (unless they hid it really well).

Well, that's sad if it's really the motivation. Actually I'd like to hear from someone who really is moticated by race -- anyone brave enough to say why race is important in the President???

Is it? I thought you hated him too. Your description of him last night sure sounded like you did. I guess it has to do with who is around. You do not want to offend the Obama haters so you join in?

"Well, that's sad if it's really the motivation."

He should know. This is how he described Romney and Obama.

I honestly don't know. It's a choice between a turd sandwich and raping.

And when he was asked which was which, he said he was not sure.

MisterTee says:
Nope. It's not hate. I actually spend most of my time dispelling the lies and disinformation (that) Wingjobs run around echoing to each other ad nauseum... about Obama.

Believe me, I offend the Obama haters *plenty* !

LOL !

It is nothing unique to Obama. Before him were the Bush haters and before that the Clinton haters.

Well that's fine. That's the norm right? I'm not talking about the normal - I don't agree with his position on X Y or Z. I'm just confused by the "most radical" ever statements when he's basically an 1980's republican in most ways -- Heck if Ted Kennedy's ghost were President then I would understand the hatred, but not for this guy.

MD -

I disliked Bush intensely for the Iraqi war. But I never thought hime the most radical anything. And when he ran for re-election I never thought about moving if he were re-elected - or being in prison (ala Ted Nugent).

Rev Otter says:
<<Before him were the Bush haters and before that the Clinton haters.>>

objectively, the level of vitrol for Obama is orders of magnitude greater than Clinton or Bush ever faced.

and it was *immediate*, from day one. it took years for anti-Clinton and anti-Bush sentiments to ramp up, and they still never even came close.

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 8, 2012 3:11:01 PM PDT
Sure, I agree.

And don't forget, gun rights have actually expanded under Obama. Yet all I hear from the mouth-breathers is "Obammy wants to take our guns away, guh, guh!"

Amazon is busy again. They deleted my post which was quoting MT, and his post responding to me, but his original remark posted yesterday stays.

Weasel--You seem to be looking for rational reasons. Hatred is rarely rational, and this does appear to be outright hatred. I can't think of any other basis than racism for some of the more bizarre expressions of Obama-hatred--birtherism, transcriptism, and secret-Muslimism.

lowbo says:
A Black, Democratic President had the con/neo-con/Frank Luntz/Karl Rove cons salivating because they could see this as the perfect situation to create a permanent single party system, the goal which became clear as early as the Reagan-Clinton transition.

The racism is real but it's only one of many tools used by this cynical, brainstem crowd, just like media control, pounding the ridiculous idea that EVERYONE can be a billionaire, all taxes are BAD, and just flat-out lying.

Cultural biases to the GOP are not things to be corrected, they are money in the bank.
