Rover says:
Now it's time for a little anti-war words...

"We will bankrupt ourselves in the vain search for absolute security."  -Dwight D. Eisenhower

"Any doubt that the Military Industrial Complex is as strong as ever should be removed after examining Obama's 2012 Budget which has $900 billion dedicated to our military machine. We spent $370 billion in 2001, $620 billion in 2006, and now this liberal anti-war Democrat from Illinois is spending 45% more than that war monger Bush who was burned in effigy by the anti-war Democrats during Iraq War protests. It seems both parties are war pigs."

Intrepid says:
You need to contact Don and Brian. Maybe also correct Mitt Romney's latest accusation. They are besides themselves in concern that Obama is gutting the military and slashing their spending irresponsibly. You can't all be correct. I believe your numbers. It's a difficult thing. So much of our economic engine is dedicated to weapondry. We can't simply cut back drastically without redirecting it to other heavy industries and technology. Yet, we also need to have buyers for the latter instead of buyers for simply more weapons. It's apparently not as easy as one would hope. We are in some ways more like North Korea than we would like to think.
