... call our president weak for openly crying in front of the entire nation. It's inevitable. Despite the fact that there are 9 adults and 18 elementary school CHILDREN dead, people will always look to politicize such a heinous, tragic event.

Has anyone done this yet? There's people making assumptions, then there are people making assumptions about people's assumptions ... (shrug)

Unless you are in that person's shoes, don't criticize. Could have had a bug in his eye or something... (js')

It's almost like you are so excited with anticipation... "Oh, I can't wait, I can't wait to see..." like you are dancing around waiting for your overdue turn at the bathroom, or like a little kid so longing for Christmas morning to arrive.

"Politicize such a heinous, tragic event". Uhhhmm, did you not notice that you just juxtaposed the ideas of "Republicans" and "president" next to an event? Seems that you are the one promoting a prime example of what you appear to be railing against.

Yes, they will. Just like you did. Now go keep those pundits' ratings high.

The only person really trying to make this about politics right now is Bloomberg, who is an independent right now.

gina, how could u possibly know a person's heart. if u did then u could point out all the child molesters, potential murders and thieves. only God knows the heart of any person. it's very wrong to pretend to know the heart of man.

When expecting the worst in people you will rarely be disappointed. But right now you are as bad as those you have decided are already guilty.

Shame on you for politicizing any aspect of this nation's tragedy.

Remember when Clinton got caught fake crying at Ron Brown's funeral? The cameras showed him walking out laughing and joking with one of the other people, but as soon as he turned and saw the cameras, his face shifted to the "I feel your pain" look, and the tears started flowing on command.

So why are we bringing up political divisions at a time like this? The fact that Republicans are being isolated here shows as much intolerance for them as they have with the President. And you know that conservatives are waiting for a liberal to bring up gun control; NRA lobbyists are probably scurrying already. This horrid situation should not be used by anyone for political gain...I don't care if you are a "red," a "blue," the President, a mayor or president of the PTA.

While everyone has been sniping on this discussion, there has been absolutely no criticism of the President's show of emotion. Maybe there is hope for this country yet. Let us all take it down a notch, at least for a few days, OK?
