Looks like people just aren't buying the "Romney is just like you and me" line of steaming bull excrement.

So what is the republican party to do?

They send in the idiot VP who barely knows him to vouch for his character.

How ludicrous can they go?

Ryan has spent at most 10-20 hours with Romney since the campaign began. Is that enough to be able to vouch for someone?

Nope. But Ryan has no qualms about pretending he has known Romney since Romney was a little boy...

Romney made a mistake by picking Paul Ryan as his running mate because they are ideologically too different. Romney is trying to run back to the center, which is normal. All politicians do that, but he should have already been there by now, and the radical right won't let him. I predicted that this would be a problem. Now it is.

I am not sure but think Romney would get pulled back to the far right regardless.

It's the consequence of letting the teabaggers into controlling positions in the republican party.

But with Ryan he is even more in a bind because Ryan provides the contrast that highlights Romney's overtures to the moderates in the center.

I almost feel sorry for Romney - he has painted himself into a corner.

Almost but not quite. Romney sold his soul.

--" Romney sold his soul"--

Either that or he never had one to begin with. He was more than a corporate raider -- he was a corporate vulture. And now he has flipped again on Obamacare AND taxes.

How do you shore up your base when you are going to raise taxes on those making $100K or more when he previously attacked Obama for wanting to raise taxes on those making 250K or more?

We all went to school with these guys.

Obama was the brainy guy who also played basketball and had cool music.

Romney was elected class president because he wanted it so much and nobody ared anyway.

Ryan was class monitor.

"Obama was the brainy guy"

That was the funniest thing I've read all day. Well maybe if he'd release his transcripts then we would know.

Captain Hair-plugs 'Vouching' for the wimp Hussein Obama's character was better then the Comedy Channel ... I was laughing so hard it brought tears to my eyes.

Easy to see how Captain Hair-plugs got every foreign policy decision WRONG in his 34 years in Congress.

Monica Lewinsky is set to release a tell-all-book before the election ... should be a reminder to ALL women how these Liberal Democrats use women then toss them into the food stamp line when they are done. Cindy Sheehan 08 being a great example as was Monica Lewinsky in 1998.

Lewinsky shopping new top-secret book

Monica Lewinsky is shopping a top-secret book project, Page Six has exclusively learned. We're told Lewinsky has been making the rounds with major publishers, who were all asked to sign nondisclosure agreements to take the meetings. It's unclear who the front-runners are, but, says an insider familiar with the project, "I'm sure every major publisher was interested in hearing what she had to say." The former White House intern who touched off the 1998 Bill Clinton scandal has given past interviews, but kept a very low profile since leaving for England in 2005 for the London School of Economics. Lewinsky's rep said yesterday, "I cannot comment on anything at this point."

the radical right have made it clear that paul ryan, not mitt is their man. should mitt win, he will be upstaged by ryan, or in an extreme case removed as kemnnedy was by lbj. the 2012 dream ticket for the radical right was palin/cain/santorum/bachmann and ryan. romney represents the last gasp of the establishment/moderate republican party.

Mitt Reagan Romney was the best 'moderate candidate' with the ability to fix the American economy & not be outspent by Hussein Obama's 1 billion dollar war against Capitalism & Religion.

It's America's last chance to defeat 'El Diablo', who outspent McCain 7 to 1 in 2008.

sooperdooper; the republican party is no longer the party of moderates. like the dems, it's owned by extremists who drive their respective crazy trains, cuz too many people do not give a flyin' anymore.

You do know that Hilary ran mostly to the left of Obama in 2008 don't you?

Bill Clinton demolished Mitt Romney at the DNC, haven't you heard? He exposed him as a charlatan who couldn't survive exposure to basic mathematics.

Ronald Reagan raised taxes, he wouldn't have a chance in today's GOP. You need new faux heroes.

Even Fox News and the WSJ have Obama leading in the polls. And this before Mitt blew his 3 a.m. moment by attacking the president on false grounds, on the anniversary of 9/11 yet, while American personnel were under attack. Oops.

Buh-bye!

I don't think Romney's base is smart enough to understand they would get shafted big time - along with the rest of us - if Romney/Ryan win.

As we all know, the ones who make out like bandits under a Romney/Ryan administration are the very rich.

And they do make out precisely like bandits because what they would be doing is generally known as stealing.

electro;but thanx to the miracle of their base base, they are stealing in the name of the lord.

If it's anything like his Medicare Voucher, it will only take Mitt about a fifth of the way and then leave him to fend for himself.

That's not working out very well for the Mittster.

More and more of America is turning away from the steaming pile of bull excrement he keeps trying to push...

The failure to acknowledge the troops, the jumping of the gun on the Libyan embassy slayings, and the macho bravado Romney brings to a very complicated web of Middle East foreign policy crises, exposes him and leads us to the fact that he is new to the game.

I have to wonder if Will Rogers would have liked Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

He also said he never met a man he didn't like, but those two make lying an art form and Rogers was a very honorable with little tolerance for frauds.

Superdupe, it's funny how you try to pretend that Mittens is like your faux hero Reagan.

Ron Reagan Jr. said his father wouldn't even recognize your republican party today and wouldn't have anything to do with it.

Today's republican party is a party of extremists and Americans don't want it.

Sorry to have to be the one to break that to you.

Well, actually, I'm not sorry. ;-)
