Joseph M. Creaney says: "Just looked at the White House Page where a hundred people every few minutes sign a petition just for Texas to Leave."

Did you ever consider those people signing the petition for Texas to leave might not be Texans?

BTW, I am going to find that petition and sign it too.

Ice King says:
"Severly less welfare and business regulation. More restrictions of lawsuits. Limits on the powers of government over private property. Not recognizing rights for those in those state illegally. No minimum wage laws. Much less costly regulations on the envionment. Withdrawel from the UN."

So in other words let's take away almost every protection from the rich that the poor and working classes have? Yeah, that should go great for everyone. Things were awesome before we got bogged down with all those annoying rules and regulations that those migty "job creators" had to follow.

False assumption, Jospeh. Leftists love the U.S. Why wouldn't we? It's OUR country and we have a better claim to it than any number of bitter redneck losers who already tried to break up our country once before.

Brian, I am sorry to say this, but you are wrong. You or any other American citizen has no better claim to the United States than any other citizen.

No one alive has ever tried to secede from the Union. You are being racist and bigoted against a set of economically disadvantaged people.

In addition, the largest group of people in the US descended from slave-owning ancestors are African Americans. Few in the South at the time of the Civil War owned any slaves.

Creaney -
You're obviously upset that your Tea Party buddy, US Representative "Quico" Canseco", was defeated by a small town Latino liberal after only one term in office. Get over it. Times are changing, even in south Texas.

Brian Curtis says:
Yes, I'm sure it looks that way to you, Bill. You have zero comprehension of what the REAL America is like, which is why your party misread the electorate so badly.

Which I'm sure would be true, if liberals actually had the beliefs and ideals you've applied to your imaginary caricature of them you carry around in your head.

Funny how even after a dramatic demonstration of how much of America you DON'T understand, you still insist that you DO understand it. Where did this amazing mind-reading power come from, and why wasn't it working on Election Day?

Handy tip: Every time you insist "liberals are anti-American," you're demonstrating that you're still trapped in a fact-free bubble disconnected from reality.

f4a: Do not Texans send tax money to Washington?

If a new Republic of Texas instituted sound money Principle, ended central banking and fractional reserve banking and constituted a fugal government based on free market Principles, Texas would become a Switzerland on steroids or a national Hong Kong.

Bill says: "If leftists love America, then why do you want to change it into something diametrically opposed to every principle upon which it was founded?"

Bill, we aren't talking about your jingoistic version of the founding fathers and this country.

This country is about doing what is right and fair and honest.

Take a look at a penny some time. What is that saying?

E Plurbus Unum?

Have any idea what that means?
