Next: Whether you're a real songwriter or are limited to imagining that you're one... 10 songs that you wish you had written yourself because their melodies and or lyrics are so obviously brilliant that by virtue of having written them yourself you'd necessarily be regarded as being a brilliant songwriter. (Okay, I think I was verbose there, but my head is hurting, so I'll not edit it if that's alright.) If you want to add a little bit of your own commentary for any of the ones you choose, that's cool.

1. King of Broken Hearts - Tony Bennett (I love the lyric)
2. Badlands - Bruce Springsteen
3. Twelfth Of Never - Johnny Mathis (another great lyric)
4. Bed of Rose's - Statler Brothers (tugs at the heart)
5. Mama Tried - Merle Haggard (more heart-tugging)
6. High Noon - Tex Ritter (story-telling at its best)
7. Lovesick Blues - Hank Williams (almost everything he wrote was brilliant)
8. You'll Never Walk Alone - Roy Hamilton or Elvis Presley (Rodgers & Hammerstein, brilliant melody & inspirational lyric)
9. Hallelujah - Leonard Cohen (obvious)
10. In the Still of the Night - Five Satins (perennial doo-wop anthem)

there are many more, but someone else can list their choices

Maybe someone can fill in the missing title. I couldn't find a title ending in "where."

Who Do You Love - Bo Diddley
Who's Zoomin' Who - Aretha Franklin

What Goes On - The Beatles
So Beautiful or So What - Paul Simon

When I Get Home - The Beatles
Where or When - Dion

Where Are You - Bob Dylan

Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad - Derek & the Dominos
Ask Me Why - The Beatles

In the meantime ...

It doesn't seem like anyone else can come up with any songs, so how about trying this: 5 pairs of songs with the "5 Ws", each pair one has it as the first word, 2nd as the last word (i.e. first song title starts with "what" 2nd title ends with "what" and so on)

Next: Remakes that are drastically different from the original

I only have one, Breaking Up Is Hard to Do - Neil Sedaka (1962 uptempo)
remade in 1970 by Lenny Welch as a ballad. Sedaka later recorded the ballad version as well & charted again.
