Ralph J. Bellantoni says:

No one's gonna change their stance just because a few hysterical, militant homosexualists think that this contributes to gay teen suicide.

Ralph, you are simply out of touch. If people were not targeted as needing to be ashamed, they would feel less need to commit suicide. IF some people are better at ducking, as you say, does that mean that we should shoot at those who aren't? Your analysis has little if anything to offer as far as resolving the issues. There are those who can see the light at the end of the tunnel and those who can't; you, my friend, need a flashlight. runningturtle87

You need to stop glorifying bigotry. Ignorance does not solve problems.

Fred says:
The shame is inherent in homosexuality. Quite simply--it is built in because of the disordered, depraved nature of homosexual acts.
==================

By "homosexual acts" do you mean oral and/or anal sex? Because, last I heard, those were fairly popular with we heterosexuals as well.

Ok Robert
So now we have you understanding that there ARE possible mistranslations in the Bible? OR is that also a pick and choose deal (only a mistranslation when you don't agree with the point)? And if it happens even once then your perfect word theory goes right out the window. OR it could indeed mean exactly what it says. That God did indeed repent.

Mr. Bellantoni,

Yours: "The shame is inherent in homosexuality."

Mine: Your opinion is simple-minded ignorance and ethnocentrism. You clearly have no idea that at various times and places in history homosexuality was sometimes honored (e.g., the "Sacred Band" of Thebes) and often seen as an unremarkable variation on natural sexuality (e.g. imperial China). The current status of homosexuality in the west is strictly a historical artifact of Christianity's psychotic hatred of sex in any form. If I thought you were interested in anything other than your own opinion, I'd recommend the book, "The Construction of Homosexuality" by David Greenberg. It's a most illuminating historical study.

He clearly says he repented.

And the Lord repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his
people.

That's because you lack a certain amount of self-awareness on the matter Robert.

Which is precisely what someone who lacks self-awareness would say :)

AxeGrrl says:
And for the record, Robert.....

- saying that all homosexuals are 'predators'
- saying that all homosexuals are INCAPABLE of loving and only capable of lust
- saying that all homosexuals are liars.....

most definitely IS "glorifying bigotry".

If you really can't see that, then you're not just lacking in self-awareness, you're totally blind.
