I. L. Walker says:
HHS - Point out the assertion I have not supported and I will do so or apologize for asserting that which I could not support. Fair enough?

Posted on Jan 30, 2012 9:20:30 AM PST
prove your assertion
that the bible is "the truth"
with a separate source.

you can't use gospel
as that is using the source
then to prove itself...

I. L. Walker says:
HHS - Because no matter how the Holy Bible has been attacked it has always withstood the attacks of those wishing to deny the Truth found within it. That is good enough for me. In other words, those who fail to undermine the bible offer the stongest testimony of the Truth contained within the Holy Bible.

"good enough for you"...
maybe, but that can be said
about the koran

"test of time" indeed
only because open doubt
meant death or prison

that's not evidence...
forgot your apology,
still unsupported...

I. L. Walker says:
HHS - I stand by what I wrote. The prosecutors of the Holy Bible have failed in their cross examination. The defense rests.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 30, 2012 4:12:37 PM PST
"prosecutors failed"
is another assertion
that's unsupported

that case isn't closed
the jury's still out on it
deliberating...

today's religions
will become our mythical
gods of tomorrow...

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 31, 2012 8:38:54 AM PST
I. L. Walker says:
HHS - Many trials are terminated when no credible evidence is forthcoming from the prosecutor. You have low expectations for the future.

Posted on Jan 31, 2012 9:46:50 AM PST
on the contrary
I have high hopes in science
enlightening us...

I don't look to books
from the age of "ignorance"
to plan my future

my future looks forth
out into the great unknown
with wonder and awe

excited about
all that we will discover
frontiers we will cross

so pick a number
idle in god's waiting room
hoping for "rapture"

I choose adventure
I will search for the real truth
truly "living" life...

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 31, 2012 10:55:49 AM PST
I. L. Walker says:
HHS - Your life will end with the ultimate enlightenment.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 31, 2012 11:34:44 AM PST
All our lives will end,
current consciousness will change...
just how, is unknown

IF hind sight survives
death should prove "enlightening"?
...or, then it might not?

there is one answer
that you have yet to provide,
...your motivation

why's it bother you
what I or anyone thinks?
about "afterlife"

are there brownie points
for converting the unfaithful?
what's in it for you?

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 31, 2012 12:48:55 PM PST
I. L. Walker says:
HHS - I do not seek your conversion, that is not what motivates me. I seek to defend the Truth and in so doing serve a God of Love and give thanks for the life I have been given. I labor to serve God forever and live with the Truth, which I desire above all else, for eternity.

if your faith's so strong
based on the"test of time" rule
why need a defense...

you've implied "case closed"
so what is there to defend?
is your faith shaken?

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 31, 2012 4:50:55 PM PST
I. L. Walker says:
HHS - Hardly, the case was closed because you could not support your assertions.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 31, 2012 7:01:36 PM PST
what you imagine
is "prosecutions failure"
so what's to defend?

unless you fear downfall
there wouldn't be a reason
to bother with doubt

your need to defend
shows a lack of confidence
in YOUR assertions...

complete trust in god
wouldn't need to defend him
you would simply know...

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 1, 2012 7:29:24 AM PST
I. L. Walker says:
HHS - Really? So you make an assertion which you can not support and that somehow reflects a fear in me? Interesting, but unfortunately your words reveal the depths of your ability to delude yourself. Faith in the Truth requires defense of that Truth when it is attacked.

Posted on Feb 1, 2012 8:13:52 AM PST
let's put it this way
I'm confident the earth's round
do I defend it?

You won't see my post's
on flat earth society
threads defending it

I just accept it
with the understanding that
they are deluded...

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 1, 2012 8:47:29 AM PST
I. L. Walker says:
HHS - I choose to speak with you because your soul has no less value to a Loving God than mine.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 1, 2012 9:52:55 AM PST
As for assertions?
I questioned if the bible
is reliable

historian? no,
but I do "know-uh" the flood
is fabricated

(see what I did there,
I said "know-uh" to sound like
Noah ha,ha,ha...)

even NT text
about Herod's boy slaughter
is just a big lie...

if slaughter occurred
external history texts
would surely agree

the same would be true
if dead really walked the streets
...not one record found!

or, age of the earth
if you calculate ages
and generations?

believe text alone
and the earth is a measly
six thousand years old

so this assertion
supported itself without
need of "evidence"

if this is the "truth"
that you accept to be fact?
you are deluded!

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 1, 2012 9:57:44 AM PST
I agree my soul
is no more valuable or
lesser than yours is

each soul deserves love,
that love will come from the souls
of those whom you love...

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 1, 2012 10:29:56 AM PST
I. L. Walker says:
HHS - You have asserted much, now support your assertions, pick anyone and proceed.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 1, 2012 10:33:13 AM PST
I. L. Walker says:
HHS - Hitler loved, and was loved, was that enough to excuse his actions toward those whom he did not love?

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 1, 2012 11:19:44 AM PST
invoking Hitler?
that's some non-sequitur there...
how does that relate?

there is no excuse
for hitler's actions bar none
his soul is heavy

burdened by the souls
of whom suffered at his hand
his love can't compare

but the bible says,
he is forgiven for just
believing in Christ!

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 1, 2012 11:27:50 AM PST
I'll just use your line...
"I will stand by what I wrote,
...good enough for me!"

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 1, 2012 11:29:21 AM PST
I. L. Walker says:
HHS - You are not helping yourself.

no more than you did,
when you used the same statement
to defend gospel...

===<===<===>===>===

let's put it this way
I don't believe the bible
or care if you do

my assertions stand
and need no extra support
as the point is moot

I just accept it
with the understanding that
you are deluded...
