RRR - I'm ignoring you, and so will everyone else on this thread if you persist.

LOL!! Keep it up, Clarissa! You are the gift that keeps on giving!

And you're the Energizer Bunny, RRR.

A cryptic remark at best. I take it you won't be sending me a St. Swithen's Day card?

If anything, they made the Forums even harder to use by removing the index.

Yeah, that's the change that's puzzled me. It's not like it was a big deal to maintain the index function -- it was already there. I can't figure out if they removed it deliberately for some obscure reason, or if they killed it accidentally when they were rearranging other things, and just don't have any motivation to put it back.

Is -that- where their heads are?

Thanks for telling me; I had thought somewhat lower, anatomically speaking. ;-)

I have never found you so. But I also get the feeling that I may have unwittingly stepped into the midst of a family squabble -- or at least one which has a history that extends to before I came along...

Not that I've ever been shy about poking my nose in. ;)

Talk about her overdoing it - back and back RRR came like a little terrier dog - even although she knew I had put her on "ignore."

Is there anyplace to go to ask why a post was deleted? I responded, in Spanish, to a post that was also written in Spanish. I said nothing derogatory, and yet it was deleted by the Amazon cops. ??

I recently had a post deleted and sent my inquiry to the basic Amazon "customer service" e-mail you can access by clicking "help". I had a reply within 24 hours, and they reviewed the post and re-posted it.

They never told me -why- it was deleted in the first place though, and from what I've heard from other posters, they never do.

My own suspicion is that the initial ban is done by a 'bot with an autofilter set to yank anything that contains certain words, phrases, or maybe combinations of letters. Then, if you complain, an actual person looks at the post and second-guesses the 'bot.

But I'm just guessing here. Good luck.

Why do you want to talk about prostitutes? It is a known fact he was a whore lover, he even died due to complications of VD.

Question: How many thousand comments does it take for the Amazonian Gestapo to relinquish a thread?

Answer: Enough of them to find a needle in a haystack.

A number of folks unfairly banned. Some who weren't deserve it.

I can only but wonder why they got banned.

As I understand it, complaints by thin skinned people who didn't like being shown up or their ideas held up for ridicule - mostly Fundies. There is also a tendency for vendettas on these threads, and it appears easy for one person to have several nom de plumes and be able to make numerous complaints as different people. Couple people I know have consistently gotten many more "no" votes than the number of people participating on the thread. Sneakiness is a sickness here.

If that's a fact, then Amazon could easily solve the problem by limiting nom-de-plumes to one per account holder.

Never happen. You have to make at least one purchase from Amazon under an account name before you can post using that name. As far as they're concerned, the more accounts people open, the more money they make.

So umm...I popped in here to see if any kind Amazon employee had bothered to respond to anything posted here in eons.

Apparently not.

Might check in in another eon or two.

Maybe they'd take notice if we started discussing how Amazon is a subcommittee of the Illuminati, intent on destroying the world economy, killing off half the human race, and enslaving the rest, to provide upkeep for a select few New World Order leaders drawn from the Buildeberg Group.

;-)
