There is a search box on the right near the top of the page. Do make sure you remove the tick and all forums will be searched.

BRING BACK THE HEALTH FORUM! please.

J. Westwind says:
Corinne,
I miss it, too, but I read more than I posted.

If you go to the Health Forum and start a new and interesting thread -- or post to a bunch of threads that are there so that you bring them to the top where others can respond to them, maybe it will show up in the Most Active Communities list again.

Thanks. I just want to be able to go down the list and click. Why do they always have to make it so difficult to find? WHY? :)

J. Westwind says:
Exactly!
Why don't they just list ALL forums at the bottom regardless of activity (there's all kind of space there) -- because it would be too frickin EASY?!

"I have been trying to find a post about Saul/Paul that I read yesterday..."

E.--At the bottom of each discussion page is a list of discussions. Then there's the link underneath which says "see all discussions." When you click this link it forwards to a page 'one' listing of all Religion Forum discussions, with numbered links to another forty-(1) pages of Religion Forum discussions listings.

Then they list active discussions in related forums.

If the thread you looked for isn't on the first page, it's activity is slower than page one content. I think I found the one you were reading on page 5. Is it this one about "Gospel of Paul?"

http://www.amazon.com/forum/religion/ref=cm_cd_ttp_ef_tft_tp?_encoding=UTF8&cdForum=Fx417AUXOWKSRN&cdThread=Tx32HOJ5JSUST1G

I usually book mark the first page of the "see all discussions" links for whichever topics I've been visiting lately. Mentally, it's like the table of contents in any book.

E. Hansen - thank you very much for your help. I have not yet found what I was looking for, partly because I can't recall any exact phrases that would make it possible to do a search through all the discussion groups. (I did find another post I was looking for that way.) The subject of the first one is all the things Paul did not do that demonstrate that he did not believe in the physical Jesus. For example, Paul never mentions Jesus' family, occupation, miracles, etc., but the post in question listed quite a few other non-mentions that I didn't know about. (This is not a request to help find it unless you happen to know where it is.) Thanks again.

Mr. Lovings, spamming your self-promotion flagrantly violates Amazon's terms of use. FYI.

E. Hansen says:
@ Stephen, you're welcome. I tried searching the question "was Paul a Christian?", and came up with one in the History forum. But there are so many deleted posts (including the opening post) there's no way of knowing if it's the one you remember.

I remember another one from probablist, about the differences between the synoptics and St. Paul's epistles. If I remember the name, or find the address in my files I'll get back.

Regards,
Elwyn

I would immediately recognize it if I saw it. Thank you again, Elwyn.

E. Hansen says:
OK Stephen, here's a couple of threads since 2008 which match the content you've mentioned.

Here's that one from Probablist,

And here's one of Sarah's lively discussions,

Best I could do.

Cheers!

E.H. - Last night I came across what I was looking for, while looking for something else. I will look at the sites you gave, and thank you again.

@ Stephen, you're welcome. I treat the material as being worthy of critical examination. But whether or not it's useful may be entirely subjective to the individual.

E. Hansen says:
Hmm, this Discussions Feedback Forum yet remains at the head of the list of the historical 'Religion' threads in action.

And yet the new 'Religion' Forum doesn't include this. Muster?

Or 'Formation' for the Jarheads and Squids in the neighborhood.

Amazon, can we get some feedback here -- why is the old Religion Forum gone?

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 19, 2011 11:52:38 AM PST
dischism says:
Well, it hasn't *really* gone; it's undergone forokinesis and produced a daughter forum. :)

Bring Back the religion forum.

Posted on Nov 22, 2011 9:52:58 PM PST
Having the "most recent active" forums list 2 religion forums which both link to the 'new' religion forum is not useful. And the fatal error of the tagging system to associate product tags with the 'new' religion forum, but still listing the discussions of the old religion forum on product pages (ie. theology books) seems counter productive. In other words the tagging on product pages doesn't actually 'see' the currently active 'new' religion threads.
