I keep hoping that this thread and the "Hair" thread will die a natural death.

Bubba,

It's been about 1 year -- mine's on Kindle. The reasoning behind the "changes" was intriguing to me.

There's a place in France where the women wear no pants, and the men run around with their "pectorals" hanging down.

Not sure if this is the place for this chuckle, but here is where I am...so...

From the Church Bulletin:

The ladies of the Church have cast off clothing of every kind. They
may be seen in the basement on Friday afternoon.

<oops>

OK, here's another...

Somebody get the hook, or at least the rotten vegetables.

Not that the church bulletins aren't funny, folk, but does anyone have anything to say about why The Supreme Being does or doesn't care about women putting on pants?

Not me. I found this thread and the Hair thread offensive from the start.

Thanks for the critical review, Ostrova. You opinion matters...if I had been serious in any way, that is. :/

In answer to your question, I think everything relevant and irrelevant to this topic has been covered already. It looks like this one has ground to a spectacular halt.

Anytime, quert: | Anyway, there's an awful lot of stuff left to discuss near this subject, which is basically, "Some people need to be lesser beings in order for the folks in charge to feel OK."

Hope those women in the church basement don't catch cold!

I think the topic itself is irrelevant.

BTW, I'm not wearing any panties.

NPB - I hope YOU don't catch a cold. This brings up unpleasant high school memories concerning my grandmother and her obsession with the perils of consumption. Another topic entirely.

I had a grandmother who was a member of the (now defunct) Pilgrim Holiness Church. She believed it was sinful for her knees to be seen, also her elbows and upper arms. She also would not wear a wedding ring, as jewelry was sinful.

I was once told by an Elder in the SDA church that it's sinful to wear jewelry because Satan was filled with precious stones when he was cast out of heaven. Some of this stuff is just *too* bizarre.

That's right in line with the Muslims and Orthodox Jews who want the women all covered up so the men don't lose all self-control. Which just says men are not to be trusted with any significant power. Would you want a man in charge of a nuclear weapon? A woman might walk by and show him a kneecap and the next thing you know, KABLOOEY!!!! There go the Himalayas!!! And you know how men hate to clean up after themselves!!!

I certainly don't know or exactly know but as long as the panties are not edible it must be ok.

Hopefully the edible ones are made with real sugar, so they won't taste like Asspartame (pun intended)

Hi Tammy:

I presume we will never meet or try to meet, but heh...feel free not to wear anything. :)

Hi Bubba:

In the book of Elvis, Verse 3,241, the Bible explicitly states that women should never wear panties or panty hose.

Hi blueskies:

That God is a rascal. He seems to dislike many ideas that could help the planet and humans. He certainly dislikes having fun.
