I'm having a great Christmas, but few would agree with me. There is no tree, no decorations, no special Christmas dinner, and no presents. I'm not going to dress up at any party, and nobody's coming over.
And yet, I'm having the best Christmas I've ever had. I refused to participate in the Christmas-buying shopping madness. I usually go to the dreaded Christmas dinner that my friend's house; I love her but her family is obnoxious and ignorant. I'm relieved I said no.
My family is safe and at home. There is food in the fridge, and good coffee in my mug, and the electricity is on, and we're alive. We're all here and together.
So if your Christmas seems like it's lacking, why not take another look?
