Maybe you, like me, need a little uplifting and hope right now...
I think I have just the thing for you - Joan Baez singing for our President:

"We are not afraid
We are not afraid
We are not afraid today
Oh, deep in my heart
I know it's true
We shall overcome some day."
- derived from words by Charles Tindley

"The Only Place"

We were born with sun in our teeth and in our hair
When we get bored we like to sit around, sit around and stare
At the mountains, at the birds, at the ocean, at the trees
We have fun, we have fun, we have fun when we please

We wake up with the sun in our eyes
It's no surprise that we get so much done
But we always, yes we always, we always have fun
Yes we always, yes we always, we always have fun

Why would you live anywhere else?
Why would you live anywhere else?
We've got the ocean, got the babes
Got the sun, we've got the waves
This is the only place for me

So leave your cold behind
We're gonna make it to the beach on time
Yeah leave the cold behind
We're gonna make it to the beach on time

Why would you live anywhere else?
Why would you live anywhere else?
We've got the ocean, got the babes
Got the sun, we've got the waves
This is the only place
This is the only place
This is the only place
This is the only place for me

Animal crackers in my soup
Monkeys and rabbits loop the loop
Gosh, oh gee! but I have fun
Swallowing animals one by one

In every bowl of soup I see
Lions and tigers watching me
I make 'em jump right through a hoop
Those animal crackers in my soup

When I get hold of the big bad Mitt
I just push him under to drown
Then I bite him in a million bits
And I gobble him right down!

When they're inside me where it's dark
I walk around like Noah's Ark
I stuff my tummy like a goop
With animal crackers in my soup!

Clint Eastwood, I am cracking up here. Which... crap. I think you and I both might need some professional help... Look what the election has done to us! I was a really nice person just a few short months ago...

I hope so, Nancy. I really, really hope so.

Not only is it:

FOUR MORE YEARS!!

Maryland and Maine now have Marriage Equality (it looks like Washington will also have Marriage Equality), and MN doesn't have an anti-gay state constitutional amendment!

We've never had a shortage of potheads in Colorado. But now they'll be funding schools and legitimate jobs rather than cartels. Not a bad trade I would say.

"I ain't never gonna be scared no more. I was, though. For a while it looked as though we was beat. Good and beat. Looked like we didn't have nobody in the whole wide world but enemies. Like nobody was friendly no more. Made me feel kinda bad and scared too, like we was lost and nobody cared.... Rich fellas come up and they die, and their kids ain't no good and they die out, but we keep on coming. We're the people that live. They can't wipe us out, they can't lick us. We'll go on forever, Pa, cause we're the people." - Ma Joad from Grapes of Wrath

And... for something entirely different... A note to Donald Trump: You are not the boss of me:
