Heard today:

"You to Me Are Everything" - The Real Thing
"One Last Bell To Answer" - 5th Dimension (this some haunts me - it is beautiful but the melody is haunting)
If You Think You're Lonely Now" - the original Bobby Womack - how often do you hear the original?

Just heard "Same Old Love" by Anita Baker. I love all her stuff. I also heard "Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming" by Jermaine and Michael Jackson. I had forgotten about that jam!

Hey BB:

I did hear Ken Webb on one of those stations carried on my satellite dish now that you mention it. Did you know Jeff Foxx has a smooth jazz CD release which he's selling independently through CD baby?

No Silver Surfer, I didn't know Jeff Foxx had a CD. He's another who's name I haven't heard in quite sometime.

BB,

Jeff Foxx is still on Kiss-FM. I actually saw his group last summer at the South Street Seaport Kiss-FM Summer Concert series.

Lady K,

Want to talk about another old jam...anyone remember "Let Me Tickle Your Fancy" by Jermaine Jackson and Devo?

I heard that on the internet the other day...

Do you know if Johnnie Allen is still on anywhere in NY?

Ahh yes Mediaagent, another goodie! I am a total Jackson family fan. I heard "Lovely One" last week! And lest we forget "This Place Hotel"...ahh the memories!

Yes, I love "Heartbreak Hotel"...you know back in the day, they had to change the name due to some conflict about Elvis. How funny, Michael wound up marrying his daughter! LOL!

Love that song though! One of my favorites by the Jacksons.

The Duke, Johnnie Allen isn't on either of the 2 main public NY stations. He might be on satellite radio or something. I thought of him the other day as well.

Figured out why "Body Vibes" by the Ohio Players has been in my head daily for a few weeks now. There is a tax commercial on television that's looping the horn opening.

I heard "Do It Baby" by the Miracles (sans Smokey). That groove is so darned sexy! It put a smile on my face on a rainy Tuesday in Dallas :)

FEELS SO GOOD TO BE LOVED SO BAD - The Manhattans

By the way, "EENIE MEENIE" was done by Jeffrey Osborne AFTER he had left L.T.D. It came out in the early 1980s (circa 1983).

Speaking of J.O. I recently heard "Get So Mad About It" and "Plane Love". Not so sure that last one is a "jam" but hey I hadn't heard it in a while so I thought I'd share...

Heard some more Jeffrey Osborne today - "I Really Don't Need No Light"

I also heard "Sad Sweet Dreamer" by British group Sweet Sensation. I remember thinking for a while that his song was done by the Jacksons. The lead sounds so much like a young Michael.

In the Raliegh-Durham area we have WFXC 107.1 (FOXY) which is a pitiful R & B station .
The programming is so devoid of feeling because most of the programming is delivered by satellite from other locations .
Their Playlist is every hour is MAZE,Luther,Anita Baker,Alicia Keys etc ..... everyday .
They try to fool people by giving weather and traffic info to give you the feel they are at your location .
I could give weather reports from anywhere in the US from the internet .
FOXY does have a old-school saturday night party which is good when you need some Betty Wright,Bobby Womack,Parliament etc............. .
