Hi Lisa,
Thanks for sharing this. The title sounded familiar, so clicked on it to see. What a beautiful, touching song. I'm sure you will not be surprised when I tell you I am not too familiar with Gospel, but always trying to broaden my musical horizon.

Hey Collette,

Well I'm glad your curiousity got the better of you! If you like R&B, have the tiniest bit of spirituality, then you'll like gospel... just like you enjoyed "His Eye Is On The Sparrow". Most R&B artist have sang at least one gospel tune... here's Marvin Gaye singing the same tune...

Beautiful!

Thanks for sharing Collette, hope you visit again!

Hi Anita... thanks! That's a pretty popular tune with James Cleveland and his choir, including the Barrett Sisters.

Hi Lisa,
Beautiful, indeed! Of course, Marvin could sing the ABCs and it would sound soulful and magnificent. Thanks for sharing and keep 'em comin. Are you going to the soiree on New Year's Eve in AC? Wasn't sure if the MD contingent was planning on attending together?

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 28, 2008 7:26:41 PM PST
Lisa Cook says:
Hi Collette,

No, I'm not going.

Glad you enjoyed Marvin... and your right, he could sing anything and it would be soulful... gospel is where he started though so was all in him. Did you check out any of Aretha's gospel that was posted? You may enjoy her as well... the songs I posted of hers are mostly standards if you will... "Amazing Grace", "Precious Lord"... think you'd enjoy them.

But if I speak wrong then what is it worth?
See what we now know is nothing compared
