So they (The Beatles) suck because they were miles In FRONT of the rest of the pack?
This is certainly ridiculous!

You are simply mis-imformed at best...but OK, lets say you have a point. I do think the song "Revolution 9" is a pretentious piece of garbage. In a sea of the most inspired music of its or any generation's music...I bow down to them with much thanks. Were they completely flawless? No Way...but in 50 more years...lets see who's remembered musically speaking?

No Elvis! You state only your opinion.

If the Beatles are mostly forgotten, why did they have several albums and singles in the top 10 earlier this year when their music finally went up on Itunes?

If Elvis sold over a billion, so did The Beatles. There are claims, but no proof they both have sold over a billion. The certified sales say the Beatles sold more.

Total available certified sales:
The Beatles 248.3 million
Elvis 201.2 million

but obviously facts are irrelevant to you.

Most of us "Beatle fans" don't trash Elvis. It's Elvis fans like you who trash The Beatles.

I know they didn't read music. That's not news to anyone. That makes them even more genius to be able to write so many great songs, and to play music without even being able to read music.

Btw, most musicians can't read music.

But what does that have to do with Chuck Berry being the true King of Rock and Roll?

Several Elvis fansites?

What part of there's no proof either one sold a billion do you not understand?

What part of The Beatles have sold 248.3 million, Elvis has sold 201.2 million do you not understand?
Those are the certified numbers.

Thank you andrea! I love all styles of music also. I don't believe I've heard any music from Peru, but I'd love to. I like to listen to world beat.

I think The Beatles were a great band,I also think the Kinks were under-rated.Elvis was important too, he's the first great white rocker, unless Pat Boone counts.Anyone with ears, knows the Beatles don't "suck".
