"I Just Quit Rock and Roll".

Posted on Jun 17, 2009 5:55:11 PM PDT
I started following these threads because it is stimulating conversation with like minded people , most of which have some diverse and intelligent input, I do disagree with some opinions but there is so many types and levels of classic rock that we are bound to have differences. But this bickering really puts a damper on. Lets discuss the MUSIC.....Please

@Ricciuti: I guess my social experiment did go slightly a rye. Too many rocks and not enough roll.
@Beaudet: Your right, you can't quit rock and roll, it does have to be removed like a tattoo.

Latrino:
We ARE discussing music. Music that rocks. You know why it rocks? Because it's rock, and rock rocks. maybe you only read the first few posts, which didn't rock. But now we're on track, rocking out and whatnot. Because rocking out rocks

Mr Miyagi taught me "Rocks On, Rocks Off". Did wonders for me...

L. Ricciuti says:
Well I'm sorry. Roll doesn't roll, but rock rocks, so therefore rock out-rocks roll (and everything else, for that matter). Rock on AND roll on.

Now that we've got our rocks in a row, we've got a nice little path to follow.

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 17, 2009 7:27:34 PM PDT
L. Ricciuti says:
Right on. Do you know where that path leads? To rock. I mean, really, it's made of rocks. It has to rock. And if it rocks than it is either rock or a path to rock. Rock is good stuff.

People throw rocks at me, but that's OK.

I'm used to being stoned.

L. Ricciuti says:
Well, let he who is without rock cast the first stone-I mean rock. Because if they don't have rock they must not want it. It's a shame they take it out on you though. Not your fault they can't rock.

I think the greatest thing about rock and roll are the guitars. i mean the drums are good too but the guitar is my favorite.
I like rap and r&b too because of the rhythms and beat. Country is good too and I even enjoy metal to an extent.
I think the Blues and Jazz music is great too and highly influental to all music.

Rock 'n' roll is the devil's music. Everything the squares say about it is true.
Listen to it at your peril.

Rock out with your c-ock out (as applicable)

L. Ricciuti says:
Yeah, guitars rock. They're like rock's signature intsrument. Rock machines, if you will. Needless to say, rock machines rock.

Being eclectic rocks. I mean, rock rocks but having an open mind about stuff that doesn't necessarily rock rocks. I'm no rock supremist. Rock snobs don't rock, even if they claim to rock, they don't.

If rock is the Devil's music, than I guess the Devil rocks too.

L. Ricciuti says:
Hmmmm....sleeping only rocks when you're dreaming about rock. Rock dreams rock. I once dreamed I found Kurt Cobain hiding in a cave, which rocked. Then I had a dream where I found George Harrison c. Abbey Road in the suburbs. Heidi Klum was there, too. They were trying to teach me about the nature of love. It rocked. Rock is good stuff.
