A friend has challenged me to find others of this nature:

Black Sabbath's first album, named Black Sabbath, contains a song named "Black Sabbath".

Bad Company's album, Bad Company, contains a song named "Bad Company".

I believe I found one more, but I've fogotten what it was. I'm sure there are dozens of other examples, but I can't dredge them up. Anyone want to help?

Not quite the same thing, but I always got a kick out of the fact that there was a single called "Hocus Pocus" by a band called Focus !

Song: (Theme from) The Monkees

Iron Maiden is another example of artist/song/album all having the same name.

"Bo Diddley" is the first song on the album BO DIDDLEY which is the first album by Bo Diddley (released in 1958) That same album has the song "Hey! Bo Diddley!" on it as well.

Extra note: As far as I know, Bo Diddley is the only non-rap, solo act who has ever done even one song with his own name in the title let alone two.

There are certainly more than I knew, and the list keeps growing. I think I like the "near misses" better than the direct hits, and yes, "Hocus Pocus by Focus" was fun to say in 1971.

I haven't seen my "forgotten" listing yet--the one I found on my own, but later forgot, so apparently, there are more to come.

Storm Corrosion's recent self-titled album has a song called "Storm Corrosion" on it

This is Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) and Mikael Akerfeldt's (Opeth) side project.
