ok, so I had a post all written, but the objectional content editor flagged the title of a book, so I lost my entire post...

I'm reading Spirit Bound (A Sea Haven Novel) (Christine Feehan); Out Of Her League (Kaylea Cross) and Mind F*** (Manna Francis). I should also be getting my new bingo challenge category tonight, so i'll probably start my book for that as well.

On the ipod i'm listening to Body Double (Jane Rizzoli, Book 4) (Tess Gerritsen) and I also have The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove (Christopher Moore) on one of those playaway devices

guess which book title caused the flag...lol!

Deanna, good luck on Spirit Bound; I have tried & tried to read that one, & I keep putting it down. I just can't get into it. And I've read Feehan for years, but I've been having real trouble with her for the last few titles across all the series.

I'm also not doing well with Laird of the Mist which I was trying to read last weekend; I'd put it down for my L in the title challenge, but I think I'll have to find another one. The Laird just isn't getting my interest.

I think I'll give Karen Robards "Justice" a try this weekend and see how that goes. But it's got to be good to hold my attention against this lovely weather.. Everyone have a great weekend!

i'm not minding spirit bound - i'm just over half-way through - but I don't like judith as much as I liked Rikki in the previous book

I've hardly read anything at all for the past couple of weeks, but I finally pulled out Tiger's Voyage (Book 3 in the Tiger's Curse Series) and started it.

Instead of any other reading, it looks like I'm going to be dragged to The Hunger Games at the movies.

I'm finishing up
Jockeys and Jewels and A Study in Scandal
Both are enjoyable. J&J is a romantic suspense with a racing background and S in S is a Victorian romance/caper which is amusing despite the really lame cover.

If I get to it, I'll start Fallen Angel.

BTW, I read "Justice" a little while ago. I liked it as a sequel to "Pursuit", but if you haven't read that, I think it would not be that great as a stand-alone. Too much backstory between the H&h that is only barely alluded to in "Justice".

Loved Lust Lizard!! I think Fool: A Novel is one of CM's funniest books as well (and so filthy!!). Hope you enjoy. I'm about 2/3 way through She Tempts the Duke and while I usually like Heath, I'm finding this slow going and kind of boring. The rest of the weekend I hope to read One Good Reason (Harlequin Superromance) which just came in at the library or perhaps Born of Shadows (The League) which has been languishing in my tbr-from-the-library for too long!

i liked Lamb, but having a hard time finding another one that makes me laugh as loud...Fluke was good...everything else has been good, but not great

My weekend "officially" starts today (Yeah!) and I'm midway through Duncan (Vampires in America) by DB Reynolds. Enjoying it so far but I have to say the book is lacking the edgy, darker feel of the earlier books in the series. I'll be on the road for the rest of the weekend, driving my teen to sporting events in NY and PA, so reading time will be limited. Let's see...one surly teen boy and two energetic German Shepherds...hours of driving time...how bad could that be, right????

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 23, 2012 8:51:12 AM PDT
have fun!!! i'm amazed my german shepherd hasn't jumped out the window of the car yet (although not for lack of trying)

Dogs jumping out the window -- Horrors! Teen jumping out the window...well, kids are so resilient and I'm sure he could find his way to the hotel...

Kidding!! I'm not a bad Mom. Really. In a few years he won't be a teen anymore and will (hopefully) turn back into a human.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Totally forgot it was Friday since this was my first week off work!

I am rereading Ride the Fire (Leisure Historical Romance) by Pamela Clare, sitting outside on my porch enjoying the gorgeous 80 degree weather for one more day before it goes away.

But can you guess who's dragging me? Hubbie. Weird, I know, right? I think he's ticked that it's going to rain all weekend and he doesn't want to be bored.

Should I let you know how it was if we actually make it there?

How you feelin'? Hang in there. The last week is the toughest. I've been thinking about you every day.

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 23, 2012 10:58:57 AM PDT
sure - i've read the books, so I can't wait to see how it is...from what I heard the author helped with the screenplay/ with the selection of the actors

I'll start reading Fair Game by Patricia Briggs.

Have fun at the movies HJ! I'm dragging my hubby to Hunger Games on Sunday. (Going with a group of friends) I've read it twice and enjoyed it a lot.

I'm not going to have much time to read this weekend, but when I do I'll be working on an ARC copy of Barefoot in the Sand (Barefoot Bay) by Roxanne St. Claire (it comes out in May).

On audio I'm listening to Serpent's Kiss (A Novel of the Elder Races) by Thea Harrison, then I plan to listen to an m/m short audio Moving in Rhythm by Dev Bentham that I picked up for only $2.92! Got to love those member sales, and the reviews at GR are good too.

Right now I'm reading BLIND FAITH by Kimberely Reeves (product link is messing up again)
I got about 20% through it and decided to log it down as a dnf, write my review and move on but when I signed on to goodreads to do that I saw that one of my "friends" and several others had given it such a high score that I thought that I would stick it out a little longer. I've never read this author before and I'm on the fence as to whether I like her or not........

I'm reading Water Bound right now, which is about Rikki, borrowed it from a friend at work, and am enjoying it. Also reading The Love Goddess' Cooking School by Melissa Senate, but just started that, so we'll see how it goes. have a great weekend and Happy Reading everyone!

I'm reading Children of Scarabaeus (Scarabaeus, Book 2); the first in the series is Song of Scarabaeus, which I read a while back. So far, the sequel is just as exciting as the previous book. It's action-packed, the technology and world building are thought-provoking and interesting, and I still love the characters. I loved books by Linnea Sinclair and Sharon Lee and Steve Miller, and Sara Creasy is another author who might join my automatic-read list.

I'm also reading Cockermouth Mail (Regency Romance) by Dinah Dean. Her books come at a somewhat high price on this site, and this was one of the cheaper ones I came across. I'm really liking the hero (can add this one to the injured hero list, as he has a bad leg) and character interactions in this one.

Ditto, Sharon :). I hope everyone stumbles upon a great read.

I saw Hunger Games this afternoon and really enjoyed it! There were some things that were changed/condensed but I pretty much expected that. Overall it was a great movie. :-)

This weekend I'm going to read Fair Game (Alpha And Omega) by Patricia Briggs. Hopefully I'll also have time to read Oracle's Moon and Natural Evil by Thea Harrison.

I'm reading Just the Sexiest Man Alive (Berkley Sensation) for the Title challenge. I have a lot of things going on in my life right now and don't have much time to read but if I can I want to start Fair Game (Alpha And Omega) I really enjoyed the other books in the series
