You might enjoy Emilie Richards. I read and admired her Shenandoah Album series of 5 books. More similar to Wiggs than to Hannah but I found Richards' stories to have more substance although I very much enjoy Wiggs too.

Here is the series I read and it is listed in publication order. I do recommend reading them in that order although it isn't required. The 1st and 5th, IMO, are the best of the lot.

D Bernard - when I think of these two romance authors I think of a) little to no sex, and b) chick-lit/women relationship focused stories. If you are trying to match up these authors to other characteristics, you may want to identify what it is that strikes your interest.

Kristan Higgins
Debbie Macomber
Linda Lael Miller
Nicholas Sparks
Sophie Kinsella
Emily Griffin

Robyn Carr has a few trilogies about a small town in No. California that are very good.

Hi D. Bernard
Here is a fun and free website that you can try when you are looking for books similar to ones written by an author that you already know that you enjoy.
www.literature-map.com
You type in the name of your author on the homepage and the authors that are closest to the name you put in when the "literature map" comes up are the closest match.
I like to go to www.fantasticfiction.co.uk to find out more about the authors and their books once I have some names.
You can also use the fantasticfiction.co.uk website to find similar authors. There is a list at the bottom of your author's page that gives other authors that people who looked up yours also explored.

If you want to find out more about Robin Carr...I like her books...you can type her name into the Search Customer Discussions area over to the right of this page and find out what readers here on Amazon have said about her books.
Have fun and good luck!

I agree with all the recommendations so far. Stef Ann Holm also writes in a similar style.

The Linda Lael Miller recommendation is good, but her Stone Creek and modern McKettrick books do have some fairly explicit love scenes. They're few and brief, but pretty intense.

I recently read "Love in Bloom" by Sheila Roberts and thought it was similar in style to Susan Wiggs...I think she is frequently compared to Debbie Macomber. Have you tried anything by Luann Rice? I'm thinking of some of her "older" stuff like "Home Fires"...I haven't ready any of her recent books.

Hi D.Bernard
I just posted this recommendation on another web site and thought you might like these book- I also read Susan Wiggs and Kristin and really love them and I loved these books by Kathy Love- had to get them from Amazon you will enjoy them better if read them in order:
Kathy Love books on the 3 ugly stepp sister (their last name is Stepp)
the first one is "Getting what you want" this sister is the brains in the group and she has always watch the hero thru out high school - he is very hot. She leaves town and comes back years later and they meet at the local hang out- she won't have anything to do with him- he keeps pursuring her because he can not believe the changes in her- It is VERY hot and get hotter as they get closer.
the second one is "Wanting what you get" this sister is the shy- slighty overweight and she has always loved the best looking guy in h/s- she stays in the town and becomes the town librarian and they meet again when they are in a wedding together- at the wedding he flirts with her and she ask him to help her save the library (since he is the mayor) he makes her a counter offer that make things very hot.
the third one is "Wanting something More" this sister is very tall (6ft) in h/s and they make fun of her including the hero- he acts like a jerk- but he is the best looking and talllest in her class- she leaves town and becomes a top model and she comes back to town for the same wedding and see him and is not impressed other than he looks good- she leaves town again and comes back couple years later and the hero has totally change and he pursue her and it also gets very hot -I thought this book was the best - but they all three were great
There is a lot about each sister in each book so I recommend you read them in order this is the first time I have read this author and will not be the last, I got her name and these book off of this web site.
Enjoy
Lucy
