MelissaB we do have good taste. I just received an early Christmas gift. . . . .Amazon gift card!!!! Any suggestions? Kindle, books, whatever. I do need a great alpha hero, sexual tension, well you know what makes a great book.

D. Politis - I join you in the minority - I tried BD and put it down half way through - the guy (name?) was just a bit too psycho for me and the girl too dumb.

That said, I want to say - you all cheat! These lists are way more than 10!! But of course they are - who could possibly come up w/only 10 favorite heros?!!

A smattering of who I'd choose (in no order):

Drustan - Kiss of the Highlander
Wolf - Mackenzie's Mountain
Douglas - Midnight Angel
Jack - Suddenly You
Sinclair - Undead and Unwed
Roarke - Naked in Death
Jamie - Outlander
Tyler - Ice Queen
Sam - Gone Too Far
Alec - The Bride
Vane - Night Play (Dark-Hunter, Book 6)
Cal - Bet Me
Anthony - The Viscount Who Loved Me

Ack! There are so many more Dark Hunter (earlier books, up to Ash's book) I could have listed - and more Suzanne Brockmann heros - and Linda Howard's, and Julia Quinn's - and I left out Nalini Singh's guys, and there are so many more Highlanders I could have added...the list could honestly be top 100 heros and I'm not sure that would be enough. Ugh - I always feel I cheated on someone when I make these lists!! :)

B. Darcy says:
Blake Harrt - Poughkeepsie (there's a lot about the book that irritates the hell out of me, but the Blake/Livia relationship is perfection, imo)
Logan - Master of the Mountain and pretty much any Cherise Sinclair hero
Jake - Burning Wild (C. Feehan)

HJ Leonard says:
Can I just say....

All of the heroes listed on this thread are my favorites. There's no possible way to narrow it down. Each time I read a hero's book, I fall in love with him, and he is my number 1 hero - until I read the next hero's book.

I've got so many downloaded that I keep thinking I should make a list. But then I'd just get overwhelmed and stressed. Someday I'm going to sit down and figure out Goodreads -- from what little I've read, it seems to be a great way to sort the books I've read into categories plus keep track of books I still want to read.

Vasso says: should read Beautiful Disaster. I loved it and put it in my top 10 contemporaries.

Sometimes I do read a story that I downloaded right away, sometimes I don't. I'm just reading Sea of Tranquility and I downloaded that over a month ago. I'm liking it so far.

D. Campbell says:
The Duchess War (The Brothers Sinister)

I'd like to add a new hero - I just finished reading "The Duchess War" by Courtney Milan. (Link above)

The Hero, Robert Blaisdell, Duke of Clermont, is wonderful. (Not the usual run-of-the-mill historical romance.)

Robin Wilson says:
Many of my favorite heroes have been mentioned like Derek Craven from Dreaming of You, but I want to give a shout out to Carla Kelly's wonderful heroes. David Wiggins, for example, from The Lady's Companion and Oliver Worthy from Marrying The Captain (Harlequin Historical). They are so human and yet so perfect.
