BellaBella: Do you have Emancipation Proclimation you could email to me? I have it in PDF but can't convert it (for some reason) and it's hard to read on my kindle.

Beeg Panda says:
MBAButterfly - did you want the original Emancipation Proclamation which was initially written as fanfic or the published version -Sempre (Forever)? I have the published one if you want

Thanks Beeg, I went ahead and got the pubished version. Is the story the same or did she make a lot of changes for the published version?

I am reading Insufferable Proximity now and I am loving it, however, all these misspelled words, poor grammer, an capitalized Me's are very distracting. I also loved Beautiful Disaster, but didn't understand how there could be no consequences for that fire. No complaints on the fifty shades, loved them to death.

Wow, I didn't get Sempre. I found it to be really depressing, and mostly focused on the whole mafia/slave mystery thing which wasn't interesting. Normally I enjoy YA, bit the H just seemed really immature. Just MHO, I know we all like different stuff. I much prefer Heart on a Chain or Because of Low which were more romantic to me.

try Love Unrehearsed by Tina Reber and on a much lighter note that made me laugh out loud but with much emotion and romance try Playing for Keeps and a Humble Heart by RL Mathewson and lately I am enjoying many of the books written by Kristen Ashley (if you can get past the copious use of the F*** word and the many misspellings). and for an intense romance that may not be everyone's cup of tea but I liked it also Poughkeepsie by Debra Anastasia

I really enjoyed the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

Hi.. I made a Listmania list for this very reason.. "if you loved shades of grey, you'll love.."

I think you'll find it covers all the Grey inspirations!

Hm.. almost all stories on that list are erotica BDSM and some of it is pure porn (which I have nothing against it but it's different category). There is nothing romantic in "sleeping beauty" trilogy by Anne Rice :)

That is what I also noticed vanila_o. Not one romance.

Very clever way of sliding your own book into the thread, Susie. Not cool, BTW.

HJ lol ...that is immediately when I tought when I saw that list.

Posted on Mar 14, 2012 3:08:44 AM PDT
I think one of the book on that list is pure porn not even erotic fiction . 'Emanuelle'

Um yeah, that book looks REAL similar. I can't count the number of f/f scenes and threesomes in Fifty Shades!

I smell a shill.

I'd say my favorite that closely resemble are Beth Kery's books, REALLY enjoyed Wicked Burn, and Sweet Restraint. Romantic without going over my personal D/s squick point. I like the D/s, and bondage play, but not S&M, and there HAS to be an alpha dying to have his woman. Need the romance, not just the sex.

I also liked Sasha White's Bound. IIRC, it's 1st person as well which I'm usually not fond of, but this one did it for me. I read a few of her others, but they were hit and miss...

Hope this helps!

BookAholic, I tried to send it to you twice, but it kept saying your email address wasn't valid. Let me know what you think.. I can still send it to you whenever you want.

HJ Leonard says:
D, which books are you asking about?

If you're asking about 50 Shades, they're being released in paperback on April 3rd. They were previously only available as ebooks.
