I have read a few books with a sad, shy, nerdy or emotionally damaged h. Just going through the motions of life with few friends almost no social life. Then she meets the strong bossy protective alpha H. Who changes everything for her makes her happy and safe..

I would love any rec' s you have with this theme. Please no cheating by h or H. And am really looking for that HEA.

I have read all of. Kristen Ashley's books.
Shannon Butchers Delta Force series.
Flawless by Limber Chin
Out of her dreams Fran Lee
Perfection by R.L. Matthewson
The coincidence of Callie &Kayden by Jessica Sorensen
Alpha & Omega series by Patricia Briggs

Thanks for your help can't wait to get reading :)

I son't actually remember the characters' ages, but I think Shadows at Midnight by Elizabeth Jennings is a good fit for your theme request.

This is a good one and I think fits...
On Dublin Street (On Dublin Street Series Book 1)

Never Seduce a Scot (Montgomerys and Armstrongs) sort of fits this theme, it's about a deaf heroine who is married to her family's enemy (yet the hero is incredibly sweet and protective!).

Another recent read I really enjoyed was Courtney Milan's The Duchess War (Volume 1). The hero isn't exactly very alpha, but the heroine had a terrible experience/scandal as a child and the hero is perfectly sweet, protective, and tender with her.

Hope this recs help! (:

Just reading now More Than Words.

h was mugged 2 years ago and can't leave her house after dark.

She meets her H via an online Scrabble game. He is a local rocker looking for more just sex and a pretty face.

Sheltered I wouldn't consider the H bossy, but he's definitely strong and protective of the h, who's emotionally (at the very least) abused.

More Than Words was about a 3.5 star read. Great plot and premise, but the triggers and resoultion to the conflicit brought the book down to its current rating. All and all is a sweet sexy read that delivered a hea in which the h overcomes her demons and the H realizes what is important. I'd read another book from this author.

Gary Johnson says:

a young social worker with a lonely past reconnects with a county attorney with a story of his own...set against the always messy and complex world of the child protection system, "unprotected" is ultimately about family, and a young woman's discovery that there are all kinds of family and many places that can be called home.

Hi A.Wan -

I'm glad you mentioned The Duchess Wars....I started that a few days ago and wasn't getting into it; I'll give it another chance!

Would it be possible for me to borrow Never Seduce A Scot?

Thanks either way!
