Hi Neogirl

I actually live in Geraldton, about 450kms north of Perth. The RWA is having a conference in Fremantle in August 2013, so I'll be there for that. Maybe I'll see you!

Neogirl says:
Hi Angela, wow! I've been to Gerladton heaps (husband is a windsurfer so we usually go up each year - he is going in a couple of weeks but I am giving it a miss this year - too hard with kids and school!). I will definitely look out for you in Fremantle (I live near Freo). I love romance and erotic romance (esp paranormal) but my friends think I am weird and into vamp porn (stupid I know) so it is great that Amazon has these threads where you can meet like minded individuals. I had never really heard of 'Plus Sized Reads' before so it has been great expanding my horizons even more. I read Cops Passion and loved it - it makes me want to read more.(OK, sorry for my gushing everyone, I will stop now I just got excited for a bit).

Anyway, someone a few posts back mentioned Human and Freakin. I normally like Eve Langlais but I must say the H's were a tad annoying - so horrible to the h. They DID come good in the end so that was OK. I was wondering - can anyone rec another paranormal book where the H's are all Alpha but immediately fall for the h? The only other paranormal I can think of was Night Play and absolutely loved that one.

I read Delicate Freakin Flower, but the girl annoyed me to no end. She was always screaming. The guys where great, even though I typically don't do the multiple partners thing, I'll read anything once.

Hi Casey,

I really really don't normally enjoy the multiple partner thing, but "Sought" by Evangeline Anderson does it really well!! .....with a plus size heroine.

Everyone, Allromanceebooks.com has 50% rebate Today on the majority of their books. Buy their e-books separately as you get a free book code for any price book after the 10th order.

Hi Ashley and Casey - I don't mind the multiple partner thing :) I haven't tried Sought however - tried number one in that series - Claimed - and the h just annoyed the hell out of me so I didn't read further. I think I will go try Sought however - so thanks.

Hi Neogirl - yep, Geraldton and it's sun and wind! Dusting shelves every second day (every day if you're silly enough to leave a window or door open when the wind blows) anyone? LOL

I can't think of many PNRs with plus-sized heroines. I know I have some plus-sizes on my kindle to read, but they're mostly contemporary, so I'll be looking for answers!

Tala says:
I think most of Celia Kyle's PNRs have plus size heroines. I know there are more paranormals I'll just have to remember them.

Neogirl, I have two Listmania lists that feature paranormal books with plus-sized heroines. I haven't updated them in a bit, but you might find something that interests you there.

I also liked Ascension and it's sequel Fire and Rain by Lauren Dane (werewolves).

Wow thanks K Simmons - I have quite a few Lauren Dane books but don't know how I missed those - they look great. I am also soo impressed by your lists - these must takes ages to organise!

Tala - thanks for the rec - I can't believe I have never heard of Celia Kyle. Her books look like fun so I will give thema try - I have so many books to read this weekend!!

Neogirl, I'm not sure if book loaning works in Australia (I think I recall some previous conversation where it didn't), but if it does, I'm happy to lend you those two Lauren Dane books so you don't have to purchase them.

Thanks K. Simmons that is a very kind offer - I would appreciate it as Lauren Dane books are on the pricey end of the scale but usually worth it. I am more than happy to reciprocate - I have a few of her books as well. My email is cathholloway@iinet.net.au

Hi K. Simmons,

I'd love to borrow "Once and Again" or "To Do List"! My email is anlarm@aol.com or anlarm_68@kindle.com (I'm not sure how borrowing works).

Everyone else, I also own "Triad" and "Giving Chase" if anyone else wants to borrow.

Thanks!
Ashley

Thank you K. Simmons I received your email :)

I bought He Ain't Lion (Ridgeville) and finished it last night. My main disappointment was that it was soooo short - only 68 pages for $4.00 which is a bit cheeky. The characters were great and I had some truly laugh out loud moments. It is a shame the author couldn't flesh out the story more because while the heavy emphasis on the smexing is ok by me it would have been a fantastic book with more storyline. Alex the H was so possessive and alpha (my fav type of H) yet he was often backtracking to calm his fiery mate down which was funny. Maya the h was a delight - so happy with who she was (big and curvey). Anyway, thanks again for the rec for this series. Despite being quick reads I definitely want to read more of them.

They are short! I got them from All Romance eBooks, they were cheaper there. I've got 5 of her books. Wish I could lend them :(

Ashley, I've loaned the two books to you. You'll get emails to notify you. Here's the Amazon page that explains the lending process - just skip to the "Receiving a Kindle Book Loan" section. You have seven days to accept the book loans and then 14 days to read the book once you accept it.

Thank you so much Katie!! Let me know if you think of an e-book you want to borrow, I'll check and see if I have it.

Thanks so much again Katie!

I really enjoyed "Once and Again" - its on my to-buy list. The "To-Do List" was cute and I'm glad I got to read it.
