I love to read but lately I've been into the TV shows like Walking Dead and Revolution.

So my question.
Do you know of any Romance books with this type of theme? I would preffer a more shy timid h in need of saving.
A strong bad ass alpha male H.

I am open to any suggestions..
Please don't leave me desperate!!!
Thanks
Just wanted to make sure that I was clear that I'm hoping for a Romance / love.

You could try the Envy Chronicles by Joss Ware.
Beyond the Night: Envy Chronicles, Book 1
Its a series based on a post apocolyptic world with Zombies. Good series.

Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, Book 1)
Try it. The H is an angel. Angels taken out over the world. Human are fighting for their survival. Bit similar to Hunger games.

I second this rec. It even has the same traveling from place to place, getting into trouble and trying to survive aspect. The only thing it DOESN'T have is a particularly shy, timid heroine.

Can't think of many for adults, seems lately most dystopian novels are written for Young Adults. The only ones coming to mind right now are from "Ellen Connor's" Dark Age Dawning trilogy, first one is Nightfall (A Dark Age Dawning Novel).

If you're open to YA there's a lot more to choose from, the ones I read most recently are Under the Never Sky and For Darkness Shows the Stars; I thought they were pretty good.

ETA: Just remembered a couple Eve Silver's from a few years ago, Driven (Northern Waste) and Hidden (Northern Waste) (written as Eve Kenin), if memory serves me right they're good reads.

I also rec Legend by Marie Lu. Kindle price is a little pricey at $10.99 but you can probably get it from your library. That is where I got my copy.

I just finished Surviving Passion by Maia Underwood. It was a good read .
I wish the would have been a little more development in the relationship of the H & h.

Acme
I'm open to YA as long as its not super cheesy & there is a love story.

What about books like the movie Day After Tomorrow?

Is Poison Princess a YA?

C. Lopez says:
Yes. Poison Princess is YA but not cheesy. I would say more mature YA. It's by Kresley Cole who writes adult.
