mattysmom - it is possible that the reviewer wanted more of a fairytale type resolution to the problem. The author is quite realistic about the possible outcomes from the hero's injury and surgical interventions.

What Neeta said. Nothing untoward at all. I don't know what the others meant when they said that.

Neeta says:
From memory, it was actually quite tame, just hands and mouth involved - and there was definitely NO other woman involved. The hero had a bad enough time with the heroine knowing about his problem and scars so there'd be no way he'd let another see.

I have a question about Coming out of hiding. The reviews were good but a few mentioned the way she "helps" him might not be for everyone. I was just wondering what that meant. I have no problems with erotica but I just didn't know if that meant another woman or what. Don't mind a few spoilers. :) thanks

Dear Avidreader, just for the records: in the Putney book Veils of Silk: Book 3 of the Silk Trilogy he gets everything back in working order, but the "funny" thing ist, that she, the heroine, married him BECAUSE he was impotent, she thought that too much smex energy/desire destroys people, like it was with her parents. So he tried to hide that he got his mojo back.....and she was (for a short while) upset when she found out....

Neeta, in the book Coming Out of Hiding, he isn't cured but they work around the issue. :-)

Whispering Rock (Virgin River)-The h and H are the sister and best friend of the H in Virgin River (Virgin River, Book 1). (The H was hurt in the line of duty in the second Virgin River book, Shelter Mountain (Virgin River).)

Thanks Neeta! Just had to ask. I could see myself accidently picking up one that should have been listed as chic lit (It wouldn't be romance if the HEA didn't include SMEX)! That would be just my luck.

Well, in the case of 5 Days Grace, yes he gets his mojo back... and in the meantime, he's so very not useless and the heroine definitely doesn't go without. And since this is the romance genre, with HEAs compulsory, I can't imagine that there's any of these books that don't result in a happy end for the hero's problem.

Ok, question. I'm interested but do any of the heroes get their mojo back? I'm ok reading about the mojolessness of some heroes but in the end I'm not sure I want to read about a heroine that has to go without forever.

Neeta says:
Teresa Hill - 5 Days Grace. Hero is impotent since a crush injury to his pelvis from exploding helicopter debris while he was stationed in Afghanistan. The heroine is happy to make a life with him even if he never gets full function back. Gorgeous story. BTW, the heroine's sister gets a celibate hero which I just posted in that thread. I'm really starting to love Teresa Hill, she seems to write brilliant love stories with gorgeous heroes who aren't root-rats.

Samson's Lovely Mortal (Scanguards Vampires #1)

This book starts off a bit shocking, right into a really erotic sex scene, but the there is a good plot here. There is a reason you start off with the sex scene, which is to introduce you to the H and his problem. The books is erotic, but it isn't all sex all the time. I've heard some people say they put it down before getting very far into it because of it starting off that way. When they are encouraged to keep trying most end up liking the book.

I would love to recommend "Coming out of Hiding" by E.Ayers I bought the Kindle version yesterday. Max's impotence was caused from an accident while he was serving in the forces. He is also scarred from the accident and is very reclusive until he meets the heroine. There are heartfelt scenes when he breaks down and becomes frustrated with his condition.

His issue is the main focus of the story.

Check out Adam's Fall (Mason Sisters) an early Sandra Brown. The H is paralyzed from a fall mountain climbing and the h becomes his reluctant physical therapist as a favor to her sister. Fanta C (Mason Sisters). You may want to read them in order because the H and h have a couple of great interactions rubbing each other the wrong way in the previous book.
