The Fabio books-why does avon have to make them so hard to find?
Scarlet Threads by L E Pegg
Rosehill by L E Pegg (L E Pegg post a lot of stuff that's free to read and has a sampling of her works on her website)
My Wild Irish Rose don't know who the author is bit is a great romance with a lot of adventure

Lucky was supposed to be this blond god who everyone worships basically...this cover was an EPIC fail (although not as bad as the 2 boobs on the SEP book)

Nope. Supposed to be a hunky SEAL. I'm pretty sure you get kicked out of the SEALS if you are that chunky.

The kindle cover is what he's SUPPOSED to look like.

The "Get Lucky" cover the H reminds me a bit of John Candy....lmao

Poor Lucky needs more than a new face to fix THAT cover.....Is he supposed to be fat in the story?

In reply to an earlier post on May 16, 2012 8:18:28 PM PDT
Suzanne Brockmann, who actually offered a "Get Lucky Cover Fix-It Kit" on her website for a while... a smiley face to stick over Lucky's face:-).

Elizabeth Stuart was a good writer - Without Honor & Bride of the Lion are definitely on my keeper shelf.

i just remember this one because lucky was supposed to be this hot blond SeAL and he looked like a puffy fat boy who ate one too many hamburgers - apparently that cover goes for big money on ebay because they pulled it and re-issued it at a later date

In reply to an earlier post on May 15, 2012 7:01:29 PM PDT
It was indeed lol. I really ignore all covers. If they are of people at all they tend be awful in one way or another plus I like to do the conjuring in my mind. Not that I mind look at mancake but

I liked Get Lucky - but OMG the cover wayyy back when was horrendous

I have another recommendation that I was thinking about, (Someone on this forum recommend this author to me a while back and I loved her books) unfortunately they are out of print: Lisa G. Brown's books.

Add "Old-Fashioned Girl" to that group! I preferred all three of these Alcott's to "Little Women"! And "Freckles" and "Girl of the Limberlost" by Gene Stratton Porter. I love her work as well.

Whoops, editing to round out my five: Maud Hart Lovelace's "Emily of Deep Valley" & "Betsy's Wedding".

I agree with the Spencer recs and love Hester Waring's Wedding.

Here are mine

Heart Mate (Celta's HeartMates, Book 1) This is magic with talking cats and fated love. It is the bomb. I adore the whole series and it way underloved.

A Brother's Price A matriarcal society where sisters marry one man. Gender reversal Awesome.

Savage Spirit (Dawn of Love Series #3) Historical YA. Just great.

The Taming of Billy Jones (The Jones Gang) Also a wonderful series. Bad boy. Prim woman. Contemporary small town. Great.

I am torn between I Thirst for You (Primes Series, Book 2) (vampire) Get Lucky (Tall, Dark & Dangerous, Book 9) (category Seals) and Once upon a Pirate (Harper Monogram) (time travel pirate funny)

GET OUT! :) I thought Wen Spencer had retired or something - I would love to read another Elfhome story! Thanks for sharing.

I read Weremones a few months ago. I thought it had a kind of Yours, Mine and Ours feel to it. It was enjoyable, but I haven't got that much into the rest of the series. The second one, PMSing wasn't quite as good as Weremones, imo. But I did just read Blood of the Wolf (Wolves of Black River) & Mark of the Wolf (Wolves of Black River), enjoyed both of those.
