Deadly Captive This one was pretty intense and dark--It was almost a DNF for me but I skipped past the worst parts.

I second the rec for Heat by R. Lee Smith also Olivia by the same author.
Breeding Ground by Jaid Black I read this one a few years ago(The original book cover was excellent don't know why they got rid of it) and the Death Row trilogy (can't remember if this exactly fits) by Jaid Black

Bea: is Heat straight m/f or is there another combination?

@Lisa The H (Kane)does not have any relation w/ a male but there is one scene ***SPOILER***that is a memory of the H seeing one of his fathers slaves(M) being abused by another crewmate (M). But throughout the book there isn't M/M relations, there are a couple of scenes that are F/F relations. Remember Heat is very rough/dark so be prepared. Kane one of the H in this book is a criminal drug (lord?) that comes to Earth to farm dopamine from human brains. I did like this book but I am one of the few that enjoyed Silver Devil and the Crimson trilogy.

Thanks, Bea. I've seen Heat recommended on various threads and it looks INTENSE. I'm also going to check out Olivia.

Oh Lisa I think there might be one scene in the biker bar but I have to re-read that part. There was so much going on in that part (OMG) that you need to reread to wrap your head around it. Remember this book is like Hellraiser meets PNR Dom/Sub. But that's only Kane's story, the alien cop Tagen (the other H) is totally different than Kane. It's like this book had two personalities, one more of a clean erotic PNR and the other H (Kane)a Sadomasochistic Dom. The two h's are different too.
