I just got done running 56 miles, but that is besides the point. I thought this discussion was weekend reading not weekend running.

Tara,

I really enjoyed Motorcycle Man!

MelissaB says:
Nana,

I was definitely disappointed in Cynful. I remember enjoying Bear Necessities but this time the romance was lacking and the three girls were annoying. Very blah.

I liked it too.

I decided to read Strangers in the Night - I haven't read this since I first discovered LH about 8 years ago and don't remember it well

umm, because if you had ever actually read my other weekend posts, I typically preface my what am I reading with what else i have going on this weekend...hence, my comment about the concert and my run

so far i've finished up Playing Hurt which was a YA I was reading; Secrets (PsyCop) (Jordan Castillo Price) and Tatterdemalion (Anah Crow). i'm about half way through the 2nd Adrien English book (josh Lanyon) and will likely finish up listening to Animal Magnetism (Berkley Sensation) (Jill Shalvis) either on the way to or from the concert. but I did decide that i was going to start listening to Undone: A Novel (Karin Slaughter) next instead of the next R&I books

i'm visiting this weekend, so i'm not planning on reading much. i was travelling (driving) all day yesterday, which didn't leave much time for reading. however, i brought 3 books with me, so hopefully i get some reading done. The Flamenco Academy: A Novel by sarah bird, The Unplowed Sky by jeanne williams and Happiness by will ferguson. i have What I Did For a Duke: Pennyroyal Green Series by julie anne long about half finished on my laptop, so i hope to finish that when i get back home on tuesday. (i'm enjoying my week off.)

I'm on to my next book - The Rancher and the Rock Star, which was a random choice based on the cover ;) I'm so glad I picked this one up; I'm only @ about 20% but I think I'm really going to like this one. (I probably just jinxed myself. Watch this take a left turn into crazyville now...)

**Finished it and it was really, really good. Much more depth than the cover/title implies**

Finished Strangers in the Night, not bad for short stories but not worth the Kindle price

I am reading Now You See Her. Afterwards I am thinking of something light, not sure what yet

I started Gone Too Far (Troubleshooters, Book 6) last night. I had anticipated Sam And Alyssa's story from the beginning of the series until Into the Night (Troubleshooters, Book 5) made me so angry I stopped reading the series. I figure it's been almost a year and my ire has cooled (somewhat), so I'll see how it goes.

I have 3 books coming on Tuesday that I cannot wait to get my hands on:
Once Burned (Night Prince, Book 1)
Chasing Magic (Downside)
Thief of Shadows (Maiden Lane)

Finished both Undead and Unstable (Undead/Queen Betsy) and Confessions from an Arranged Marriage (Avon Romance) so far this weekend; about 1/3 the way through Cowgirls Don't Cry (Rough Riders). If I manage to finish that, then next up will either be Fever or With No Remorse - or something on my Nook; we'll see!

I just finished a reread of Untamed (A MacKinnon's Rangers Novel) by Pamela Clare, now reading an ARC of Can't Buy Me Love by molly okeefe. So far I really like.

Started my very first audio book ARC too, I'm listening to the Fifty parody book Fifty Shames of Earl Grey. OMG, I'm laughing through this one, it nails the absurdity of that story.
ETA: btw, the print edition is on netgalley If you have an acct there

MelissaB, if you're still in the mood for Linda Howard, go for Mr. Perfect. I laugh everytime I read it.

While I did finish McCarty's Caine's Reckoning, I made the mistake of dipping into Shayla Black's Virgin Bride (Masters of Menage) and followed up with the sequel Virgin Captive. Some of the components of BDSM may be more than I want to think about!

KC,

I love Mr. Perfect and Open Season but I read them not too long ago - but I may reread them soon anyway. I really want the Kell Sabin series on Kindle, wish she would put them out! I have them in paper but i almost always read on my iPhone now since I have a baby and my free time to read is when he is nursing or sleeping on me.

Finished Midnight Remedy. It was OK. Not bad, not great. Quick read.

Finished Captured. Loved that. 2nd Victoria Lynne book I've read and I really liked both of them. (With this kiss). Got a 3rd on the tbr pile (What Wild Moonlight). Really looking forward to it.

Started To Desire a Scoundrel (Southern Heat/Novella Two: TANNER) by Tracey Sumner. Not feeling it yet. Seems to have started in the middle and I'm badly missing something. Probably should have read book 1 first, but usually I can get by better than this with serial stories out of sequence. Perhaps she will fill the backstory in quickly. It's a novella, not much to lose by I'll finishing it. I loved her "Tides" novels, so I have hopes it will sort out.
