I just finished reading a Sylvia Day book recommended on this forum called "Pride and Pleasure". It's a historical romance story that is pretty good. Let me know if anyone would like a loan, would especially like to trade for something, like Knight, if available.

I agree Kathleen, another author well versed in this genre is Tymber Dalton. Darn auto correct: )

HJ Leonard says:
That would be Tymber Dalton...And she actually lives the BDSM lifestyle, is in a poly-relationship (menage), and bases her books on reality (aside from physical appearances, lol).

Okay, I am missing something here...What is the Submissive, Dominant and 3rd book books? LOL!

Miss says:
Yeah I was aware that she lives BDSM lifestyle, did not know that she was in a poly though. One of my favorite books is The Reluctant Dom and would be a good rec for those who don't mind more intense BDSM scenes.

I have been having some difficulty movin on from FSoG myself. But i pulled away long enough to read Trust in Advertising...not in the same league at all but i got all the way through to the end. I am also on goodreads, do you mind if i send a friend request?

Kathleen says:
Agreed, Miss! I just love Lesli. My favorite book of hers, written under pen name of Tymber, is The Reluctant Dom. One of the best BDSM romances I've ever read. But the reader better have several boxes of Kleenex handy.

HJ Leonard says:
She has several pen names, but is now republishing all of her books under Tymber.

The Reluctant Dom is definitely her best.

Is that a book or a fan fiction....

Also I.know el James wrote on fan fiction is she still in there if so what's her name on there

avidread I felt the same way about FSoG. Thank goodness for this forum because I found Bared to You by Sylvia Day. Seriously, it is every bit as good as FSoG. Mega rich man to handsome to stand that has a screwed up past meets young woman who has a screwed up past also. I actually like Eva, the h in the story more than Ana in FSoG because Eva is experienced and strong. I also feel Gideon the H is more real. They are just SO hot together. I can NOT wait for Deeper With You!

HJ Leonard says:
Tymber Dalton does not write fanfic. She writes erotica and erotic romance under severla pen names - Lesli Richardson, Macey Lago, Tessa (can't remember the last name) and then Tymber Dalton.

The Reluctant Dom is being republished by a new publisher, which is why it is currently unavailable for Kindle. It should be back in the near future.

As far as EL James - I'm not sure. It would probably be best to ask that question under the fanfiction thread if no one here answers it soon.

I really love Sophie Oak...sooo happy her new book Pure Bliss is now out on Amazon.

Is she really in the BDSM lifestyle? Love her Siren series as well as the Bliss ones.

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 18, 2012 1:17:55 PM PDT
HJ Leonard says:
I wasn't aware that Sophie Oak was in the BDSM lifestyle. We were talking about Tymber Dalton. Did I miss that earlier in the discussion?

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 18, 2012 2:06:55 PM PDT
C. Hix says:
Yes, Kathleen posted

I've been hearing a lot about BDSM and no one has mentioned two authors who are in the lifestyle and write both well and responsibly about it:

Cherise Sinclair: Masters of the Shadowlands series
Sophie Oak: Siren series

So that is why I thought she was. Maybe I am confused.

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 18, 2012 2:32:54 PM PDT
HJ Leonard says:
Huh. Never knew that about either author. And I must have misread that post to read that they were two authors who wrote lots of BDSM, not lived it. Gotta get those glasses checked, lol.

Open to some good book suggestions. This is where I am so far:
FSOG- Loved it! Read all three books in about a week.
Bared to you - Liked it a lot! characters and story very similar to FSOF. Looking forward to the sequel.
Unsticky - Loved it!! I love it when the characters in a book can make me laugh and love them one minute and make me so mad and hate them the next!! Couldn't put it down.
Insufferable Proximity - Lost interest at 22%
Poughkeepsie - Only made it to 11%, couldn't get into the whole falling in love with and kissing the homeless dude thing. And the whole invisible, afraid of the sun thing was a big turn off.
Love unscripted - lost interest at 20% and started reading Beautiful Disaster.
Beautiful Disaster - Finished it, just because I didn't have anything better to read.

Any suggestions??

msdp44: What exactly are you looking for? What's your favorite genre/subgenre?

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 18, 2012 4:09:05 PM PDT
msdp44 says:
Not into heavy BDSM but I really like the love scenes and lite BDSM in FSOG. Lite erotica, with a romantic story. not sure what genre that is. I want something sexy but believable.
