Hey the Jeff Bridges troll arrived on schedule. If you forgot to read the advisory, now's the time to click 'ignore this customer'.

Now why don't they have the option to 'ignore this troll'?

Yep, that's it- thank you!

Nothing unusual- just typical (dumb) sockpuppet behavior.

Wow- you sound just like Sgt. Stargate. What are the odds?

Just saying all authors are not bad. Ive had a very good experience with one of my authors. This person appreciated my comment about her books, and was nice enough to PDF me a copy of a book of hers that Amazon didnt have anymore. I appreciated that very much even a couple other email reply I sent her. That was nice of her to me but then thats just one author. Just saying.

HJ Leonard says:
Ms. Kitt, you are absolutely right. Not all authors are bad. No one on this thread, or the original thread ever said that.

I'm glad you had a good experience. It's always nice to hear the positives.

In fact, I think that it is fair to say that the pretty much everyone on this thread would agree that the vast majority of authors aren't bad at all. Some of them are even quite wonderful.

For example, I follow Maggie Steifvater on twitter. Love her books and I think she's pretty much the chit. Not a bad word about Maggie from me. Of course, she never gets p!ssy about her one or two star reviews. She's probably too busy writing. Has my failure to previously specifically mention her awesomeness suggested in any way that I don't find her awesome and not badly behaving? I don't really think so.

@Jared Foster

I see that he has lots of reviews on all three books so he could have a big blog following or something. He has 43 5-star (and only 5 star reviews) on a book that was released June 4. That's pretty unusual, but could be his followers.

I saw that several reviewers mentioned that they were beta readers and many are AVP (though AVP doesn't really mean anything. Some of the paid 2 for $5 reviews offer to buy the book as part of the deal.)

One book has 64 5-stars out of 78 reviews. All three have pretty high sales rankings.

ROFL
How do they even have the time to do this?
A LOT of good books but a few nice authors are out there.

Wow. Just. Wow. She reads her own book.
IT'S SO STUPID! HER NAME IS KATIE MCVAUGH! IT SHOWS RIGHT THERE!

The article SHOULD NOT have included the names of amazon reviewers.

PLUS that woman's got bad grammar.

R C Drake, an author previously discussed as putting lists of her books on her reviews, responded to a comment I left on one of hers, and voluntarily deleted the self-promotions.

"R.C. Drake, Author says:
You are right of course cathyr and I stand corrected.
Rhonda"

I deleted my comments associated with the review. Thank you Ms Drake!

Spam under any other name...

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 26, 2012 4:09:42 PM PDT
Of course, that's ignoring the review ring that she's involved in.

One step at a time - but she is open to commentary, so approaching her directly may be of benefit.

Apparently Amazon removed Kate McVaugh's self review on one book but not the other.
