I have read the Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and it is amazing! I loved it and can't wait for the sequel. It is very intense, very angsty, and the ending is a cliffhanger. That is the only thing that bothered me about the book. It is a year before the next one so I have to wait for a year to find out what happens.

M.B. so how was the H, I know you said its a cliff hanger but is there a HEA or can you tell there will be. I used to read books where an HEA wasn't the norm, and now I hate that I want an HEA;}

It is a very sudden cliffhanger and you are left with a ton of questions. That was my biggest problem with the book, the entire book you are wondering what in the WORLD is going on and at the end there are even more questions. I will also warn that it does not end in a happy place. I was torn between being mad at Mara and my heart breaking for her at the same time. I am also torn between loving the author for writing such an amazing book and furious that she left it where she did!

With that said, the relationship between Noah and Mara is beautiful. The book itself is beautiful to be honest. It is dark and has a creepy vibe to it but is also an interesting look at the effects of post traumatic stress disorder and grief. I highly recommend the book despite the sudden unhappy ending. I can't wait for the next book to see how it is resolved.

MB: Darn!!! That's on my tbr pile but I'll have to wait for the sequel to come out. I can't handle waiting and cliffhangers. I read a Reason to Breathe and it had a cliffhanger...I was traumatized for a week....lol. I kept hitting the "next page" button on my kindle and wondering where the rest of the story was. ugh!

Mercered: When is the sequel to Reason to Breathe coming out?

M.B.: Do you know when the sequel to Mara is coming out? I want some spoilers about the ending, is Noah and Mara still together, or have they broken up and that is why the ending is sad?

MBAButterfly: I'm not too sure when it's coming out. I looked for it after I finished RTB but I don't think there was anything concrete when I was looking.

These sexy hot tortured alpha hero's.....Beautiful Disaster is one of the best (Travis - sigh!) . But i LOVED Unwritten Rules just as well. (Oh Jonah!!!). The Moreno family series - Elizabeth Reyes...yes, Forever Mine - Angel is so freaking H-O-T. But then so are Alex (Always Been Mine), sweet Eric (Sweet Sophia) and surprisingly enough Romero (Romero)...Love this series.

Flat Out Love - Jessica Park is surprisingly good too.

I just started it the other day, and I am enjoying it. The story begins with the h surviving a building collaps that killed 2 friends and her BF. She does not remeber the incident at all but begins to have hallucinations and other strange things start to happen. Her family then moves away in hopes of starting fresh. They move to Florida where things seem to be better until she goes to school and starts seeing her dead friends. It is also in her new school that she meet the H (I think he will be the H) who is the guy all boys want to be and all girls want to be with. He starts to pursue her but she is completely aware of his history of ADD with girls and is scared to be added to his long list of girls who he has had sex with and then discarded quickly after that. He is persistant and she is interested and then.....that's where I left off :)

SPOILER ALERT :) I WILL GIVE AWAY THE ENDING TO UNBECOMING OF MARA DYER....

From the beginning you know that Mara has post traumatic stress disorder. I also wondered if she was losing her mind or being haunted. You discover that she is actually causing some of the events around her to happen. She is actually at fault for many of the strange happenings. My heart broke for her. I was also very confused because you don't know what is going on and why this is happening.

Mara and Noah are not in a good place at the end of the book. Noah knows what she can do and actually has related abilities. He begs her not do do something and she does it anyway bc she thinks it is the right thing. I am not going into detail but it seems that it may have desroyed the relationship. He makes her choose an she doesn't choose him. Then, in the final two or three paragraphs there is a MAJOR plot twist that makes you doutbt the entire book.

ARG, please tell me the last 3 paragraphs. You are killing me!

I am almost halfway through the Unbecoming, so I don't want to know!

I also just started reading Shatter Me and Unleashed (I don't know why I do this, reading three books at a time) and so far I love them both.

Unleashed is especially worth a look.

Unleashed by Nancy Holder, just got it yesterday and if not for the five loads of laundry, dishes and bathroom that had gone way beyond messy I'd be just about done with it.

Speaking of housework - does anyone else let the house slide in favor of reading? I want to have a tidy house, but when I get into a book, I become incapable of doing just about anything.

House cleaning!?!?! UGH! Who does that when there's a bk to read? :-) Same with yard work. I think I have a reading addiction...and loving it!!! The only thing that doesn't get in the way of a good bk is working out, but other than that...fogetaboutit.

Ann - It's just that my house is so gross I feel a little (teensy tiny, truly microscopic) bad about not cleaning up. A couple of friends of mine were talking about how messy their houses had gotten, 'I didn't vacuum for days and the floor hadn't been mopped in over a week!' My floor gets mopped whenever Angelina Jolie adopts a new baby! My book addiction is out of control.

I was doing pretty good when I had audio books to listen to, even cleaning the toilet isn't too terrible if you are listening to a fun book while scrubbing.

Jennifer - LOL!!! Angelina Jolie's baby. Hilarious. Audio bks, now there's an idea. I could work out and still read. Possibly I'd be all caught up in the story and fall into oncoming traffic. Ouch! But I guess no worries about falling into the toilet. LOL!!! Now cleaning and listening is a GREAT idea.

Wanna check out a hot cover....take a look at Accidental Fate by M A Stacie? A sexy tatooed guy holding a baby!?!?! That's a heart melter.
