My Darling Minion Winter,

Rio has made: beefsteak tomato, butterhead lettuce, and bacon with blue cheese dressing salad, black pepper spice-rubbed beef tenderloin, lemony potato salad, green beans with sweet onion vinaigrette, and honey caramel peach pie!

He has downloaded Lassie (what else?).

Take a seat, put your feet, and it'll be the perfect evening for two friends to share!

ETA - for time off Minion Winter's prison sentence? Rio wants you to come eat with us and he'll lick your feet adoringly!

*gratefully throws self into Minion Janet's arms in a vigorous hug...while peeking cautiously over her shoulder at 'L'Tart Sweet'
*sits down to enjoy repast with fascinating company...now that time off the sentence has been obtained*
*Pssst...Rio....I owe you a favor!*

Lol! I'm going to use "L'Tart Sweet Anna Karenina" for one of my screen names!

*Anna grabs piece of honey caramel peach pie and quickly devours it, smacking her lips in satisfaction*

Are you nominating that for good, bad, ugly, or some combination thereof?

I was reading the book reviews for More Kinky Couples (Dirty Secrets) and came across a reviewer who also reviewed 2 microwaves on the same day. http://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-reviews/A1HGFIELP4C1SX/ref=cm_cr_dp_auth_rev?ie=UTF8&sort_by=MostRecentReview
Shill? I do believe so.

Reminds me of this paid reviewer I found recently.

"I also take paid reviews occasionally. I charge $500 for a paid review because it keeps away the not-so-serious companies and products."

Readers getting suspicious because your indie book has 75 five star reviews? I am your solution. For a trifling $500.00 I will provide 2 one star reviews guaranteed to get those jealous haters off your back. For an extra $100.00 I won't read your book and won't provide specific examples of your, ahem, less than stellar abilities.

Contact: ThroughTheShredderReviews,com

(Please note that I have a longterm business plan. Three weeks after my reviews are posted I will be contacting my authors for another payment. My conscience should be decidedly tender by then and I will need large infusions of cash to cushion it and keep it from contacting those sites where I've posted reviews.)

(Several weeks after this I will again have to contact my authors as it will be necessary to buy off that basement dwelling mama's boy, Jason Kirkfield. )

I will also be publishing my book, How To Write Reviews For Profit and Blackmail, using my other name, John Green.

We were speaking of shills, yes?

I'll post this one here instead of the BBA thread because the author himself did not behave badly (outside of writing a rubbish book, IMO), although a cadre of shills was certainly on the payroll, so to speak. What bothered me most was not the horribleness of the book itself, but rather the shill reviews who were out early and in force. I had to bloody some of the hydra heads--one of them owned the Web site promoting the book--but in the end it was worth it.

Dear Jason.

Please review my books. I like being treated bad ;)

I've got some info for Cressida but can't remember from whence I know her, or if I do at all. Did this one come up here? Or maybe it was the TRf thread about shills and paid reviewers?

Hmmm. Well, here's the bust anyway. I'll keep my eyes open back at the TRf.

"kimberly" (Kimberly Shursen) runs a review business named Underground Book Reviews.

She posted a review--her only book review on Amazon--for Randy Mixter's Sarah Of The Moon on February 28, the same day she interviewed him as part of an advertising package.

http://www.undergroundbookreviews.com/3/post/2012/02/interview-with-randy-mixter-by-kimberly-shursen.html

Apparently, attacking critical reviews is included in the package, since on that same day, kimberly tried to discredit this 1-star review from "Cressida."

http://www.amazon.com/review/R2XTZDQY4SRJG4/ref=cm_cr_rev_detmd_pl?ie=UTF8&cdForum=Fx130K0ORDZ23YO&cdMsgNo=9&cdPage=1&asin=1463559313&store=books&cdSort=oldest&cdThread=Tx2NB7XQAKCDST0&cdMsgID=Mx1SWP4YIU3QAKB#Mx1SWP4YIU3QAKB

Noteworthy, too, is that kimberly also posted a self-review for her Underground Book Reviews, as did one of her partners.
