Can anyone recommend Harlequins with the most OTT possessive, jealous and crazy in love heroes. I'm talking caveman- thumping their chest crazy possessive. I would really like if the heroine was sweet and innocent as well but that is optional. Thanks!

Exactly. One of my favorite Charlotte Lamb's is Frustration (Harlequin Presents, 339)

Carole Mortimer's early books Also have jealous, obsessed heroes. Like Savage Interlude (Harlequin Romance, 340) And Brand of Possession

Another one is Penny Jordan's Blackmail

Rage to Possess - theres a forced seduction scene
Living Together (Best seller romance) - H is hollywood playboy, h is sweet, has issues though
Morning Rose, Evening Savage - H would do anything to get h, but she is the last to know
Jinx Lady - Hero is obsessed abt h, but again she thinks he is only being casual. All this authors heroes are crazy in love with heroine, very little game playing, most of the book is about them together, hot smexing scenes and sweet moments. The problem is none of her books are on Kindle

And there are many more, will post when I remember. This was my fav trope in HP before I stopped reading them.

JennyG or others who have read the following books: Giordanni's Proposal by Jacqueline Baird, Golden Fever by Carole Mortimer, Sweet Poison by Angela Wells, Guardian Angel by Patricia Wilson and Not Far Enough by Margaret Pargeter - what do you think of the books? They have no or very few reviews I would appreciate feedback, to help me decide if I should buy them or not. Thanks!

Giordanni's Proposal (Harlequin Presents) i like all of this authors books.... decent read.... lots of drama... the h meets the H at a office her stepbrother works at... they go out... get engaged... anyways the hero is overseas in america... comes home the h goes to his work to see him.. the intercom is on... she heres him talking to someone about her..said that he went out with her because his sister loved the guy the hero saw her having dinner with once (it was her godfather her fathers best friend) the sister dumped dinner on the guy... anyways.. he says a bunch of stuff including just because he bought her a ring dosn't mean he plans on marrying her.... anyways she goes home... he shows up... she dumps him.. he goes off the rails... seduces her .... she toss him out...
two weeks later he shows up... shes going to a party... dressed as a cat a for holloween... he tags along with her and stepbrother and his girlfriend... have a great time... he tries to blackmail her into being his mistress... she over sleeps so ... didn't work...
she gets an invite to the godfathers wedding... she shows up... she kisses the godfathers cheek on the steps of the villa the wedding is going to be at... the hero blacks his eye and tosses her in the car and takes off.... she finally told him that she knows why he took her out.. to keep her away from her sisters man which is her godfather.... and heard the things he said about her...
he asks later to be friends... they get through the wedding... she ends up in the ocean on the way home... he saves her... tells her he loves her etc... hea

Not Far Enough (Harlequin Presents) is a really wrecky book... she leaves him after she thinks he is having an affair... she lives on a greek island... has his child (who is a brat..jmo) this is years later.. he sees her on the beach from his boat... goes to see her... kidnapps her... talks him into taking her back to the hut if she smexs him.. ... (he still dosn't know about the little boy)... she goes home... he looks in the window at her sleeping at night... she loses the little boy on the beach at night.. he helps her find him... figures out he is his... takes her home... pretty much keeps her away from the child... she thinks he is still with the actress... in the end it all comes out.. the kiss with the actress meant nothing... she was a pest who stalked him... he was jealous of the son taking her attention.... he loves her hea... it was a wreck... i could not look away...lol...

It's been a long time since I've read Golden Fever, but for some reason I remember it not being my favorite. I like my Hs excessively jealous and obsessive, and any OW or other obstacles can't be even a glimmer in his eye. I don't know if that's why I didn't like it. I'll try to find it in my stacks of books (paperback copy) and re-read!

Gregg Barratt's Woman by Lilian Peake - actually most of LP's H's are certifiably insane psycho's.

IMO Rage To Possess (Harlequin Presents) by Jayne Bauling and The Long Surrender (Harlequin Presents..., 277) by Charlotte Lamb are probably the most obsessive, jealous H's in HPlandia.

D. Arnold says:
Reread this one last night. The Loving Trap (Harlequin Presents) H seemed to be entranced with h when they first met. H was very possessive without being OTT. He did have a little problem with assuming things about h, but not in an ugly way. Ending felt abrupt, but it finished the story.

@boogenhagen or anyone who read Gregg Barratt's woman by Lilian Peake. There is not description or summary on Amazon. Could you give us a brief one? Thanks.

Kate Barley says:
From Fictiondb:

Nothing was too much to ask...

Tanis Foster would do anything to help her sister, Cassandra, walk again. And that included standing in the rain to earn money selling Cassandra's paintings by the roadside!

She never imagined a customer like Gregg Barratt would come along--or buy every single painting. As he wrote out the check, Tanis was filled with gratitude.

But she had no idea that Gregg would think of another way to help Cassandra, a way that would put Tanis under his roof--and within the power of his devastating, unattainable charm.
