BadgerBAJ, Hope this brings you back.

Happy Birthday, Ms. Heyer! eBooks for $2.99 August 14 - August 20

Thursday, August 16 would have been Georgette Heyer's 110th birthday. In honor of this most beloved author, who many call the Queen of Regency Romance, Sourcebooks is discounting EVERY SINGLE one of the eBooks we currently have available to $2.99 for one week, getting Heyer's Birthday Party started early on August 14!

Yea! The Unknown Ajax is listed on this one this time. I think that is the only title not included in the last Source Book GH sale.

Can hardly wait until 8/14

This means I have to go through & figure out which ones I didn't buy last year.

So excited - wasn't around for last year's sale, but kept seeing references...

I really like the fact that there's two weeks advance notice to decide. Think the eight mysteries I haven't read yet are a shoe-in, plus the historicals...but it's the regencies where I'll really have to make some tough choices.

Yeah, yeah...

That is what I told myself too! I ended up getting every friggin' one of them offered! LOL!

The thing is that we need to see if Amazon will price-match. There was a small time delay last time. It is possible to download from Source Books and side-load to the Kindle but I much prefer going through Amazon for the transaction.

We'll see.

Amazon is still saying they "cannot guarantee" a price match for this sale. Last year, they did end up matching but, IIRC, it was a couple of days into the sale before they did that. Also, if memory serves, had the direct link to "buy from Amazon." They no longer do that. (Amazon in the last year has removed that option from several online vendors.)

You can still download directly from sourcebooks and sideload onto your Kindle. I don't like doing that because I prefer to have Amazon manage my Kindle content (so I can more easily move books to and from devices. I currently have 7 devices registered to my account.)

Good thing there are only two titles I'm looking for from this sale: Unknown Ajax and Civil Contract.

Thank you all for keeping this notice current. I was on vacation when the sale was announced and missed the original notice. Now I can get all of GH's novels on my Kindle! I have quite a few of them but I want them all.

I am reading the 15 or so Georgian and Regencies that I have not already read in the order they were published (for lack of another way to organize them.) I just finished These Old Shades. - Bill

Today is the day folks!

Please go to the books on Amazon and use the link to notify Amazon of the lower price as Sourcebooks. (Remember to post the URL where the specific book is on Sourcebooks. The general link to the whole sale might be included but Amazon will need the link to the specific book too.)

For example:
A Civil Contract (Regency Romances) is the Amazon link and is the link to the same edition on Sourcebooks. (Those are the editions that should be compared for Amazon - not the editions published by other companies.

I will post a new thread about this as well.

Yea - the day has arrived!

Check out Amazon first - they appear to be rolling out price matches for these books. Haven't checked'em all but oh boy!

Price Match! Whoo Hoo!

So much for whittling down my tbr pile. :=) I was good, and managed to limit myself to five: A Civil Contract, Friday's Child, Grand Sophy, The Unknown Ajax and Footsteps in the Dark.

Of course, the sale is not over yet . . . .

I picked up 8 which completes my library of GH eBook versions!

The only titles not (yet) available as eBooks are her general fiction titles. (I have them in hardcover but haven't yet read them.)

Thank you and THANK YOU Amazon!
