Old Harlequin romance... don't remember much about it. I think it was set in an Arabic country. Hero is the usual HP hero, cold and mean and all that. The one thing I remember clearly is that the h/H have an argument, she runs out of the house and into the car and crashes right in front of the H. I remember that he ran to the car and was completely distraught by it.

Sorry not to have any further details (I think the H/h were married)... and I think the book was red (back in the days when the Mills and Boon books came in different colours :D )

D. Arnold says:
Response by Penny Jordan. H takes revenge on the h thinking that her brother raped his sister. Makes her believe their in love, takes her virginity and right after tells her he is done with her and why he used her. When H later finds out what the truth is, he goes to cottage where h has gone to to be alone. H tries to tell her he is sorry and won't leave until she hears him out. She says fine if you won't leave I will. While leaving thru the gate she turns to see if he is behind her and keeps walking into a car. Amnesia occurs and H marries her in hospital. After she has lived as his wife for awhile she remembers and the story goes from there.

Thank you for your reply :) but it wasn't Response :( She definitely had a car crash and it was pretty close to the end of the book. That said, Response sounds like a book I'd enjoy reading. I loved those angsty old Penny Jordans.
