Great indie reads in sci-fi

So, I decided to start a thing where every week I look for indie books I really like, to talk about and promote (mostly in sci-fi, fantasy or historical fiction, cos I'm weird).

My pick this week was an easy choice: SENTINELS by B. Linn Schwab. It's a Kindle sci-fi that was published in July and has just sort of sat there hidden since, which is a real shame; it's quite literally the best sci-fi I've read in recent years, and it's the start of a series. Basically, there's a planet called Valhalla colonised by humans, it's at war with Earth, and nothing is straightforward. (Longer review at )
