I'm looking for the title of a SCIFI book - I can't recall the title or author.
The book is wonderful story about a civilization descended from populations of Samba Dancers in Brazil. They ascend into space and Samba around the galaxy, and have Samba competitions on starships or planets around the universe. I read it about 10 years ago. - thanks in advance

The only thing I could find with Google and Amazon searches was Sing a Samba Galactica (The Chaos Chronicles Trilogy), but I'm not sure that sounds like what you were describing.

It does put me in mind of a sci-fi novelization of "Dancing with the Stars" though. ;-)

I like the idea--"Space Opera" or "Starship Troupers."
