Arpard,
"Priests reproduce too."

Yeah, they're primarily interested in lecturing others about proper reproductive habits.

=============================================

Hadeeth deals with rituals. (what the prophet was observed doing)
Koran (Quran) deals with principles of faith.

The Hadeeth has four levels of credence, starting from "agreed upon" by four principal historians, "probably" when there is any objection, "uncertain" when more than objection was raised, and "rejected" when all historians object.

That isn't what this biologist actually said. You are mistaken.

I only touched a few posts in this thread but I see some ol' buddies here so I'll add something. I could dig this up but who remembers the 'Rat City' experiment back in the 1960's? A habitat was built and divided into four quarters with limited access points between each 'neighborhood.' There were centralized food and water sites in each neighborhood, and many levels and rooms. The experiment demonstrated that as the rat population increased, certain aberrent behaviors revealed themselves:

Gangs of rats would organize themselves to control food and water dispensers.
Gangs would also control access between neighborhoods.
Gangs would attack other rats.
Individual rats would suddenly start attacking other rats.
Homosexual rats would increase among the population as overall population density increased.
Some rats would just give up living.

"Rat City" of course is not necessarily indicative of human society. Yet a lot of research has gone into rat psychology which somehow gets applied to human behavior. The main point of the Rat City experiments is that overcrowding densities of mammals can lead to similar behaviors in mammals.

that's not intrinsic to being homosexual. it's a result of social discrimination.

Rick Maxon says:
Neither is Christianity the problem. Christians see ignorance, bigotry and intolerance just as much but we do not suffer from depression, stress and suicide.

"Christians see ignorance, bigotry and intolerance just as much but we do not suffer from depression, stress and suicide."

Given that Christians comprise some 80% of the population, and given the primacy that Christianity enjoys in our culture, how are the conditions faced by Christians comparable to the conditions faced by gays and lesbians in our culture?

MA: "Perhaps you should inform them as to exactly what their place is, given that they don't seem to know."

RM: "yes, perhaps. But that would imply they listen and from all evidence they have trouble even reading."

Well, maybe this time they'll understand. Go on... please tell them what "their place" is.

Perhaps you should inform them as to exactly what their place is, given that they don't seem to know.

"depression, stress, suicide"

These are understandable consequences of living in a society where one is insulted, bullied, discriminated against, and threatened with violence and even death merely because of the gender of who they love.

Homosexuality isn't the problem. Ignorance, bigotry and intolerance are the problem.
